So you're suggesting a ready meal full of preservatives, salt etc is better for you than the equivalent meal made from fresh? I'd love to know your definition of healthy!0 -

I eat quite a lot of ready meals, and none have no more than 2 grams of salt or any preservatives. It is quicker to prepare because making a meal from scracth every night can take up a lot of time.

1200 is not so bad, but its the sugar and fat content
50 grams of fat (35 grams saturated)
120 grams of sugar (of which approx 100g are from added white sugar, same as 3 cans of coke)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

You are a heart attack waiting to happen. I'm guessing your exercise routine consists of walking between the fridge and the microwave!
Edit: Scanning OP's other posts points to him being a wind up merchant!0 -

None of yours, maybe... but there are certainly ready meals that are more than 2g of salt per portion.

Making a fresh meal from scratch doesn't have to take that long.
I used my slowcooker to make soup over the weekend, so that must be about 40 portions.
Yesterday i did a casserole in the slowcooker, i guess about 9 or 10 portions , and tomorrow i'll probably do a curry so that will be another 10 portions, All bagged up and in the freezer so you can have a meal in less time than it would take you to go the chippy.
Things are thrown together and left to cook overnight.
If you haven't got the freezer space you can cook just one or two portions overnight ready for the next day.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.
