OMG that's a lot of calories. You never think that these pre made meals have so many extra's to bump up the calorific total, also the salt and fat contents. Stay well clear as you would be a heart attack waiting to happen.0

It does not.
The information is clearly displayed.
People are free to read it an make an informed decision.0 -
If you are "eating on a budget" thats ruddy good value, why spend on food with no food in it.I do Contracts, all day every day.0

Got to be a mistake. 360 g isn't that big and there's mash and peas on there as well as the pie. I'd say they've either mistaken kJ for calories, or that's for a bigger meal that serves 2/3/4.
An individual pie usually contains between 400 and 600 calories and a bit of peas and mash on the side isn't going to bump it up by more than another 200.0 -
tube of pringles on the side and a nice tub of ice cream for afters, lovely.**Debt Free as of 15:55 on Friday 23rd March 2012**And I am staying that way

Its not an error. Pies contain huge amount of calories because of the pastry (mostly made from oil)
Look at the picture on the asda website, the pack shows the information tooThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

It is an error. I know how to make pies and how much fat is in pastry. Look at all the other pies on the Asda website.
Even http://groceries.asda.com/asda-webstore/landing/home.shtml?cmpid=ahc-_-ghs-sna1-_-asdacom-dsk-_-hp#/product/910001340028 this pie, which is 600 g, just of pie, and serves 4 people, contains less than the alleged calories in your example.
These http://groceries.asda.com/asda-webstore/landing/home.shtml?cmpid=ahc-_-ghs-sna1-_-asdacom-dsk-_-hp#/product/81013250 pies are similar to your example, but without the mash and peas and contain 381 cals each.0 -
Mistake or no mistake, the point is that the meal shouldn't be banned, but anyone eating it should be invited to talk about their lifestyle choices by kind and loving friends. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....
