    Morning All

Things are not good at home, problems with the kids, still not speaking to DH and so I'm not sleeping properly. Oh well, not a lot I can do!

Piggers - Happy Birthday to your DS - coping vibes for you.
Dusty - hope your mum's ok.

Going to do some ironing in a min and that'll probably be about it.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs

Hugs and good wishes to all who need them - sounds like lots of us.

Rubies have you tried ringing round local car scrap yards about the lights you need? There could be some there. We needed a wing mirror once and got one reeally cheap.

Watched the bucket list last night, so another one that can now leave the house.
Texted step mum, going over there at weekend, plan to also see my mum need to ring her today then I can sort all the stuff out I'm offloading on her,- books, DVDs, and some candle wax bits for my sister as well as mums day stuff and nieces birthday pressies. Should clear a fair bit.

Just seen an ad in this mornings paper tesc0 are doing the £1.50 Easter eggs for buy one get two free HTH

Hugs all round by the sounds of it, I hope things improve for you all who are having problems.

MrsMP that Easter egg thing sounds good, might get some in for OH's grandkids, at that price it would be silly not to.

    Morning all

Starting with the bit of ironing I have as no shirt for DS3 this morning and putting WM on.

Can't decide if i want to go to yoga this morning, not in the mood but the cricket shop is just up the road and I need gifts for DS1 for Saturday.

House is looking quite good after the effort I made yesterday. Looks like a good drying day so I'll strip the last bed and put WM1 on the line.

    Lynne Happy Anniversary

    Bossy sleep vibes

JJ I hope things improve soon at home x

  • Morning everyone - had a quick read back a few pages -

Pigpen - Happy Birthday to DS

Dusty - thoughts with you and your Mum and hope her Drs get the medication sorted quickly for her heart. My late Mum and my Aunt both had/have heart failure so it can be treated - sometimes takes a while to get them on the best medication. It is great she has such a lovely neighbour.

LJK - Happy anniversary and Happy early retirement.

    JJ thoughts with you.

Bossy hope your children sleep through tonight - so you can too. x

Just been eyeing, beaking, head stuffing and ribboning two out of the twelve chicks I have made so far - only took me an hour!!! Hope it gets quicker or else these will be ready for next Easter!! Have taken a photo so if I can find out how will post later.

Off to ch shop shift this morning then the lawn is being moss treated this afternoon and I'll be doing a couple more chicks. Aim to take them in first thing Saturday morning - well that's the plan anyway!

Have a great day everyone. "Hope" to get some flying done later!

    Morning all

    Welcome back, Lame Wolf :j

Belated happy anniversary and a very happy retirement to lynnejk.

    Hope things improve soon, juliejim.

Big (((hugs))) to Bossy. Trouble is, it seems never-ending doesn't it? I had a similar problem with my DS3 but he grew out of it eventually, and this phase will pass for your DS too.

We went out last night to a brilliant theatre performance :) No sign of new grandchild yet...

    Today I need to
    - declutter bathroom c-o-d: it's full of old bandages and other bits of first aid stuff as well as about 20 rubber ducks, our wash bags, a seldom-used hair dryer (my hair is strimmed on no.5 all over!) and several bags of cotton wool which will surely be of more use to my DDiL for the new baby than to us ;)
    - update spreadsheet and notes
    - 3 "business" emails
    - check payment to charity's ISP
    - start up bargain magazine subscription (bought from @m@z0n Local Deals) for DGS1+2 instead of buying them Easter eggs
    - replace toothbrushes
    - dust and hoover upstairs
    - shopping at @ld1 and T€sc0/s@insbugs
    - visit my friend
    - choir practice this evening

Hope my GUAG hangs around long enough today to get all that done. Shower and breakfast first :D then I need to make a determined start with the desk work.

Catch you all later. Hope everyone has a good day x

Strip DS's bed - he is on holiday in Tunisia - Done
Clean carpet in same room Hoovered, including moving all furniture
Sort all washing into piles, do at least two loads Done
Strip our bed and remake it Stripped this morning
    Empty all bins Done
Write lists for next 4 days, hoping to include some decorating in there :rotfl: Mentally done

This is my plan for the next 4 days

    Kitchen and Dining Room
    Sweep and mop the floor
Wipe the worktops, removing everything that shouldn't be there
Wipe the inside of the fridge and see what needs using up
Run appliances through a clean cycle.. clean filters, drawers and doorseals first!
    Empty and wash out bins

Living Rooms, Reception Rooms, Hallway and Stairs
    Declutter and vacuum floors
    Hoover stairs
    Check smoke alarms
Vacuum sofa and chair cushions, including underneath them.
    Dust and deweb
    Update finances spreadsheets
Catch up on any important phonecalls and make any upcoming appointments.

    Master bedroom and Landing
Strip, wash and replace the bedding
Hoover floor in bedroom and on landing
    Do your pillows need replacing?
Dust surfaces and make sure no cobwebs
Wash windows and turn mattress before replacing with bedlinen
Sort one area of clothes or linen storage, make sure only what should be in there is. Anything that has had it’s day or doesn’t belong there remove it.
Sort through a bag or box of stuff you’ve not looked at in months. I am certain there will be stuff in there that you don’t need – I know I have some.

    Bathroom, WC and Study
Polish taps so that they shine..
Sling shower curtain/bathmats in the wash and scrub down the slimy tiles!
    Vacuum/mop floors in these rooms!
Scrub the bath/shower/basins/toilets/bidets etc.. don't forget the outside of the loo and under the scanky rim.. it gets naaaaaasty under there!!.. oh, and don't forget the top of the cistern!
Clear and wipe window sills and frames and make the blinds/curtains nice and clean
Declutter and wipe the desk.. do any filing you find on there!

Paint DS's bedroom, just a freshen up
    Buy and put up blind
    Steam clean carpet
    Rebuild bedroom, make bed

Trying to decide if to dress up today, I've camped near the kitchen window to see if the kids walk by in costume. None of the other lunchtime staff dress up but I have for the last couple of years. I forgot to get a news letter last week and haven't heard it mentioned at all, will look a bit of a fool wandering around the playground in full mock Tudor ensemble (I probs will anyway but there is safety in numbers)
Cooked DS2 veggie bacon and mushroom omelette for breakfast as he missed tea last night, he just came home and had taken himself to bed by 4.30 I had to wake him at 7.30 this morning for school. He said he's ok just tired.
Going to cull a load of the card games today and hopefully have the table cleared by tonight
