MrsMP.. I just rang school and asked!

Spent the evening defleaing a hoppety child.. hoping the cat stuff comes today so I can do them too before Hazel is entirely bald! I didn't realise we had run out

text from KH today aggressively demanding stuff at the weekend to treat the child bugs.. the ones I've done already! and the stuff it clearly states shouldn't be used more than once every 2-4 weeks depending on what you get. Moron wants to use to use it on Moomin who has psoriasis on her scalp and no sign of infestations.. I'm checking the 2 of them again tonight and will deal with it accordingly. Why was I so moronic to not leave him dumped years ago before we had the children??? Why do we never trust our better judgement???

Apparently I have to buy Moomin new trousers too because she is wearing Tiddles sized ones.. she has a drawer full, we sorted her clothes 3 weeks ago and she has loads.. she just might not have them at his!

Have any of you nursing types got any ideas about whether or not it is worth keeping 9 sterile dressing packs, complete with forceps, that I found in the bathroom c-o-d? My SiL offloaded some onto me last year for my friend (I didn't feel that it was appropriate to pass them on), but four of the packs are at least 12 and probably nearer 20 years old.

Or does anyone want to dress up as an Egyptian mummy? :rotfl:

When we did our last first aid course the instructor told us that a workplace first aid box should be all within date BUT added that as long as they were sealed there was nothing wrong with having them at home as an emergency first aid kit. I'm not sure if after that amount of time the cotton wool dressing part might start to deteriorate with age. Perhaps just keep one pack?

Thanks pigpen I looked on the school website for the newsletter and it just says supporting book week on Thursday but no details of how. I would be on hold for about 15 mins if I ring before 10am so I've texted a frined who works there hopefully she'll check her phone at break if not I'll ring at 11, my dress only gets one outing a year.

Friend has just been round for a quick chat, but couldn't stay, DD2 hasjust rung me as partners little boy wanted to tell me about his costume and thank me for the deeley boppers I got him.
Card games are sorted half back in the drawer and half will be offered to the DDs if not they we going CS.
Another load of socks and undies washed yesterday are now folded and/or paired
Bag for mum is filling up nicely

Thank you both. Compromise decision reached - have kept one sealed pack which is still in date, then took out the rubber gloves (for dirty work!) and plastic forceps (for the DGC to sort beads/ buttons/ minibeasts etc) from the other packs and binned all the rest. The expiry date on the older packs was 1999 so I wasn't far out with my guess of 20 years old!

I now have another empty drawer :T

Being ruthless, I just found a big box of old school books that Ds2 put in the spare room to go into the attic last year when he moved from lower school to upper school. It weighs a ton! Went through it and loads is scribbles and rough stuff that's not worth keeping, a lot are empty or almost empty books and there all his French books in there. He stopped doing French last year and none of the kids have ever gone that far back to revise so the French and math books are going along with all the scruffy rough stuff and the unused books can come out for note books and list writing.
Seems harsh but given that the eldest three have long left home and I still have most of their stuff in the attic I'm being selective what I keep now.

Just rung school, no dressing up for me today.
Filled a bag with the school books and found about half a pack of clean unused printer paper in the box so that come down to be used.
Added a pair of shin pads and a boot bag to the CS stuff.

Going to grab a cuppa now.

Paint DS's bedroom, just a freshen up. Done 2 walls
Buy and put up blind Bought, just need DH to put it up
    Buy 4 pillows for DS
