    Hiya everyone

Dusty - ((hugs)) and hope your Mum okay

LW - thought it was something like that. Glad you're back and enjoy that drink

It's our 5th wedding anniversary today but we are not going out as I'm working and DH is on earlies. So we will probably go for a drink at the weekend and then put the monies to our holiday meals-out as we go on Monday :j

It's also my last day at work as we have decided I should take early retirement. I am starting to find it a bit too much now working five out of ten every fortnight.

It seemed a good time to give my notice as only have to work this week and then away for the other three weeks anyway. So not really decided what I will do after my holidays but will worry about that when I come back and just enjoy the time away.

I had better get on with some work so back laters

Happy wedding anniversary to you and your DH lynne, hope you have a very heady and a nice meal out then.
I'm sure you'll find enough to keep you busy when you come back, but that's something to think about in the future.

Why is it that we have an un-ending pile of unmatched socks?!? Surely at some point they should find their partner and go to socky co-habiting bliss?? Gah! That's another one for the list tonight...sock mountain!

I have a special basket in my bedroom for any single socks. They go straight in, no searching for partners. Then every now and then I just tip up the basket, find any pairs and put the rest back in the basket. Simples. If I recognise any persistent singletons after several 'rounds', in the bin they go. Of course I usually find their match the week after.

Happy anniversary for tomorrow LJ and nice to see you back LW - you were missed.

HB isnt it strange how sometimes the thought of doing these things is actually worse than just cracking on and get it sorted. Well done on getting it out of the way.

Paid stuff in both jobs, lots of laundry done (took advantage of the nice weather), long dog walk, exercise class, our bedroom dusted and tidied - will hoover tomorrow.

Got to leave here at 6.30am tomorrow to take Mum to hospital so I am off to bed soon. Her appointment is the first one so I hope we wont be too late back.

Probably wont be on until late tomorrow so have a good Thursday everyone x

Oh dusty hope everything's ok. I get what you mean about not flying into a panic every time though.

Absolutely pants day here. Everything that could go wrong did. Will need to work tomorrow, after dentist for me n DD plus grocery shop. Very frustrated. Dropped a bowl earlier that had raw chicken in. Smashed all over kitchen. Floor cleaned and disinfected. At least DS duvet had dried so he has a clean bed. Not eaten today, Gah, and need to fast from noon tomorrow ahead of horse piddle on Friday. Have done a wash which is hung in spare room and airing cupboard, DW is on and I feel a bit better that my floor is clean.

So I'm rather glad today is almost over...

    Happy Anniversay, lynne

dusty hugs etc for you and your mum.
Lynne happy anniversary and good retirement wishes.

Not achieved too much today as extremely tired for some reason.
    2 students taught.
6 bags of garden rubbish, several large branches and an old bedroom rug taken to tip.
Mr N and I looked at a couple of garages as we are vaguely thinking about cars; probably won't be for ages but looking ahead, if he retires next year he will have to give his van back and if he wants to go anywhere when I'm working it's the pushbike or motor bike. Thinking of all sorts of permutations - new car now while we're still working and can afford it then cheap runaround for him next year; keep going with current car (10yr old) then new(er) one in addition next year? Who knows. Didn't come back inspired by what we saw.

Not much else done other than few emails, too much Candy Crush and TV. Can't believe I'm this tired and achy after a bit of gardening and zumba, although I am very unfit. Not at uni till 1pm tomorrow so must go to gym on way, think it's Body Balance at 10.30 which should do.

I am slowly unearthing a kitchen!!!

I have emptied 4 baskets of dirty laundry and folded 3 baskets of clean laundry.. I threw out 3 boxes, a binbag of rubbish 4 carriers of recycling and the floor is hideous.. it is desperate for an encounter with a brush.. but we had cake and my ickle baby boy is 16 .. how in the name of all things furry did that happen.. I want to cry now!

    Lynne- happy anniversary!

I cleaned all the kitchen apart from the floor before hubby got home from work. Just went to update the list and realised that only one thing was on the list so looks like I've done nothing!
Never mind! Kitchen looks cleans and tidy! I am out for most of the day tomorrow but will crack on in the evening!

Dusty and Pigpen - sending best wishes to you both
    Lynne - happy anniversary

Hardly done any flying again today, but house is managing to stay reasonably tidy.

Today has mostly been spent decorating DS2's room, doing paperwork, food shopping, and fixing a bumper car! Don't suppose anyone knows where I can get 2 red circular 4.5 inch rear lights? EBay's let me down on this one!

Had a lovely roast chicken dinner for tea, i'm amazed at how succulent it is cooking one in a slow cooker (not long had one). Need to get more adventurous with it though, mum bought me a slow cooker recipe book, but not had chance to look at it yet.

Also had an ice cream maker for Christmas, not yet taken out of it's box, need to rectify this as soon as this weekends over.

As always hugs to everyone who needs or wants and smiles for everyone :)
Loving life to the full, just need purse full too :)
