Been to work and done that DH has been home for food with me and gone back to work. I'm still sifting through stuff. Loads has been binned shredded or earmarked for recycling!
I've even moved the piano, swapped a chair an settee round and can almost see the table. Furniture Tetris is so much fun LOL.
Found the iron basket and sorted mending, ironing and socks that need pairing. Found some of Ds1s jeans that have been awaiting repair so long they are now too short so can be thrown out. Some honey socks gone and as many as possible sorted.
I now have enough space to St the sewing machine up so will abandon the decluttering for now and get the Mending done. DD3 will be round tonight for her mermaid top which has not even been started yet.

Why is it that we have an un-ending pile of unmatched socks?!? Surely at some point they should find their partner and go to socky co-habiting bliss?? Gah! That's another one for the list tonight...sock mountain!

LR, DR and Hallway all hoovered and dusted.

Random outstanding tasks being done (to avoid checking minutes, hate that job). Plan for the rest of the day is to carry on in the office/dining room.

Aga has blown out again! Darn wind, relit so hopefully will be ready for dinner time. At least it means the washing on the line should be dry, I'll get that in soon too.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts. I'm so used to these hiccups with Mum now that I can't keep going into a frenzy each time. Still no update, I'll text her.

It's not flying, but I have finally tackled something I should have started doing a year ago. It's something I find it deeply scary, but I found myself filling in an online form today that may not lead to anything, but if it does it would be incredible. The great thing about it is, I'm aiming very high, I had the courage to fill the form in, which for a whole year, right up until I found myself on Page 3 of it, I hadn't been able to find the nescessary backbone. So, I carried on and did the whole thing, and then went to two other places (via internet and via phone type places) and put myself right outside my comfort zone. Done. Hopefully next time I think I should tackle this task, it won't be quite so daunting.

Hugs for you Dusty and warming vibes for your aga.

Pigpen, I was going to suggest that there are organisations who are there to provide to support for people feeling their way through your DS's situation, but Ionafan got there before me.

House is starting to look organized. Never has before, and only bits of it, but it takes me by surprise because this is a completely new sensation. I haven't even got any gibble boxes in my office any more, after years and years of always having a stack of them to deal with. Odd feeling.
    Better is good enough.

Successful vibes regarding whatever the online form was you filled in Honeybear, I'll keep them crossed for you.

Sewing machine now put away, DD3 has popped round to pick up her top and some post that was here for her, I also managed to give her a memory stick that was surplus so that's something else gone.
Just need to nip round and brush up the sewing threads and snippings then I'll start tea.

FINALLY we have working internet!! It only took Sky eight days to get a new router to us. *rolls eyes*. The Sky Box died the same day as the router, so we've been without TV too, not that we watch very much; but honestly, you couldn't make it up!!

I did manage to use the Wi-fi in the pub for vital stuff, but it was very dodgy, kept dropping the connection, so it took me all evening just to do vital things, let alone trying to post (though I did the first time I went, so you guys wouldn't worry).

Thankfully, too, our bank has internet terminals in it's branch, so I was able to pay the stuff that came due while we were waiting.

Sorry, I haven't had chance to read back over everything - we finally got the new router going last night, and I've had the Sky engineer here this afternoon replacing the TV box.

Having said all this, I may not be around tomorrow; I have to see the consultant, so Mr LW's wfh in order to take me.

    I need a drink.... a large one.:rotfl:

    Hi All

I have been MIA for a couple of weeks and flying has take a bit of a back seat, not so much flying more like taxi-ing on the runway with the essentials getting done only.

That BD has been chasing me and it has been a struggle to do [STRIKE]most[/STRIKE] any things.

I now have 4 days off work and am going to get that BD kennelled with a flaming big stick to chew on.

This evening I am doing the following

Strip DS's bed - he is on holiday in Tunisia
    Clean carpet in same room
Sort all washing into piles, do at least two loads
Strip our bed and remake it
    Empty all bins
Write lists for next 4 days, hoping to include some decorating in there :rotfl:

I am not going to read back so will just say best wishes to all

    Gilly x
