Summerlady you're an inspiration! (and everyone else who is posting!) I'm sitting here browsing MSE while feeling guilty that the sun is shining and I could be tidying the garden of the debris that has been blown in by recent strong winds. Can I join in please, and add a couple of ideas that I try to incorporate into my day?
I record programmes and watch them as a treat when I'm ready for a sit down and have a cuppa, instead of mindlessly watching whatever happens to be on.
Through the winter I've tried not to check emails until it's dark as I find that I get waylaid.... (daylight is precious if you have outside jobs to do, and who wants to dust by electric light?!)
I keep an egg timer by the computer and treat myself to half an hour on Pinterest etc. (I can spend hours pinning organisation tips, oh, the irony of it!)
I always put washing straight in when I get up. By the time I'm showered, dressed etc it's ready to hang out.
Would it be helpful to take some paperwork with you to your sister's exercise class? You seem to have a lot to do and if you can find somewhere quiet to get on with it? I used to take mine with me when picking up my son when he was younger.
I'll be reading with interest for more tips and motivation which you've helped with already, thanks again. The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

This thread has been on my mind for the past half an hour. My bathroom has been missing tiles for about 4 years...so ashamed. Anyway it has irritated me for 4 yearsbut obviously not enough to sort it. I kept saying I will do it the weekend but it never happened. This morning I have done it in about 20 minutes. Its not cost a penny as I had all of the stuff I needed including a tile cutter. I still need to seal around the bath when the grout is dry and also the sink. WHY DIDNT I JUST DO IT BEFORE???????
Eenymeeny, I'm with you. My garden was the same until this weekend but I made a start and the top half looks lovely and tidy. I really can't wait to get started on the other half.
I wish they would make a pill to cure procrastination.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Parsniphead, congratulations on clearing an outstanding job.
Well, we all seem to be making progress.
I finally finished off some work for one of my committees, which I started seven months ago.
I set my timer for 15 minutes and started, then just kept going. It took me three hours in all - but it's done and I am so pleased. Why didn't I do it sooner? It was no big deal when it came to it.
I felt so motivated once I'd finished that I booked a weekend away and a summer holiday (I've been dithering for weeks) and updated my budget.
I'm about to get started on cleaning my bedroom.
Then an early dinner and out for the evening.
Eenymeeny - I think that taking some of my paperwork to my sister's exercise class is a good idea. I have arranged to do a class myself nearby on one of the days, but there isn't anything for me on the other. If I ever catch up with my paperwork, I will take some needlework.
I also seem to watch all my TV on IPlayer - it's more to do with my groups that with a grand plan.Grocery challenge 2017 January £158.74/£200

Hi,
Just wandered onto the OS board, not been here for a while.
Like many posters, apart from the own business/committees, you sound very much like me too.
I used to be quite motivated, would get up early to do things before work, would be crafty in the evenings but the past few months I feel like I've become quite lazy - not wanting to get out of bed, wasting away my evenings on the internet and playing pointless games - so I'm going to follow you for some inspiration and motivation0 -
Congratulations, Summerlady.
Made me think, what I need to do is pick the two or three worst jobs, that I've been putting off for ages, and knock them on the head, Perhaps that will free things up to make me move forward with other things.

I'm still trying to finish the quarry tiles in the kitchen which I started in 2002.
I'm on a role today. I have filled the hole in the wall so I can sand and paint on Friday and have taken off the front garden gate which had rotted. Oh how I wish I didntnhave to go for work for the next three days, I want to stay at home while I'm in the mood.
Summer lady, well done on finishing the committee work and not stopping after 15 minutes. I bet that feels good. Enjoy your evening out.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Hi all
I'm very impressed that people have done some major DIY jobs.
My procrastination habit hits a new high with DIY projects - it always seems so much trouble to get the tools out in the first place. I have a lot of those jobs to do so I'm going to make a list and do one a month. If any job is beyond me I will get someone in to do it.
I made a start on my new morning routing yesterday and didn't read in bed, so I feel more lively this morning.
For today:
exercise, have breakfast and take my meds
shower, hair etc - moisturise (my skin is so dry now), teeth, face, style hair, dress, make-up, perfume.
put dishwasher on, e-mails, correspondence and file paperwork.
out for the day with two sisters
work - I have a client later
a bit of housework - it's sunny so I may leave this until after dark!!!
a walk - my slimming world body magic
ironing
I'm not going to bog myself down with paperwork today as the forecast is for sunshine.
I hope everyone has a good day - I will report back later.Grocery challenge 2017 January £158.74/£200

Hi All
Lovely sunny day so did a towel wash and all dried on the line. also went for 1/2 hr walkies and looked out over countryside. Worked later on until 8pm but have managed to stick to my meal plan thus far - which is in atonement for sliding off bandwagon over the weekend!! So low fat; high protien; medium carbs; as little sugar as poss; no processed rubbish. Ok its only day 3 of plan but that's nearly 1/2 a week. Promised myself that I would only weigh myself on Wed am and Sun am. Will let you know tomorrow if this idea is working!!
May you all sail on sunny seas with a fair wind tomorrow!Aim for Sept 17: 20/30 days to be NSDs  NSDs July 23/31 (aim 22) :j

Well done LynPlatinum for sticking to your meal plan. I hope you get your reward when you weigh-in.
I have my weigh-in later.Grocery challenge 2017 January £158.74/£200

Hi!
Went to my Bessie's last night for a craft session and we were both saying we feel unmotivated at the moment and our Hubbys are even worse! So we have agreed to gee on each other and if the men folk don't join in, we'll do stuff together instead
Hubby's out tonight so I'm not going to sit on my bum or go to bed early to watch TV like I usually do when he's out. I'm going to put a wash on, clean the kitchen, make a mothers day card, do something physical (dance, run up and down stairs for a while, any sort of exercise) and then have a bath before bed.0
