I think that sometimes these problems arise because the person is not really looking aftet themselves properly.
They feel "out of sorts" and so fill up time, then feel even worse.
If you are going to make a timetable, I suggest that you ensure there is time for these two things:
1. treats that make you feel better
2. "slob" time - during this time you can do anything you want. It doesn't have to be a scheduled treat, or "me" time, it doesn't have to be what you think may make you feel better - these all carry weight with them. It is just for whatever takes your fancy at that moment. Pile your messing about time into this period.
Good luck0 -
Summerlady.....are you my twin???
I have a PhD in procrastination and it has been my biggest drawback all my life...I will exercise tomorrow, cut down on the carp I eat starting next Monday, declutter my house next month and get my tomato and pepper seeds sown later on this evening.
Will be following this thread eagerly for anything to kick me up the arras and get me moving!
Marie.

I do SW and there's a brilliant thread on here that helps. In fact there are threads to help you with lots of the things you need to sort (cleaning, decluttering, fabbing yourself etc). Unfortunately you could end up just posting on here and getting nothing done!:rotfl:
Seriously, I think you've done the right thing to empty the cupboards of the 'wrong' foods. Next I'd write a meal plan and shopping list and just get in the things that are part of your healthy eating plan.
Good Luck.:)0 -
I am in a similar position at the moment and I am trying to be quite disciplined about getting on with things. Writing down how long you spend on particular tasks is good. I decided I was going to have to start saying "no" to some things and ensure I was spending time on things I needed or wanted to do. My stock reply to anything I don't want to do, now, is " I am flattered that you have asked me but unfortunately I won't be able to help out just now. Have you thought of asking................?" This gives folk an alternative without to blunt a put down.
I kept thinking that I didn't have enough time and how on earth did everyone else have the time to do xyz etc. I then decided that as we all had the same 24hrs in everyday I had to stop procrastinating, be more organised and prioritise. I think the procrastination is possibly caused by feeling a bit overwhelmed by all we feel we have to accomplish. So, my master plan is to divide my day into 15 minute slots, allocating one or more slots to tasks and prioritising the tasks. A 15 minute walk with music on my headphones is me time and exercise. 15 minutes tidying out a cupboard at night is not to much and over a week adds up to clearer space and not wasting time searching for stuff. I'm trying to make sure that all the time isn't allocated to chores and ensuring there are some fun things to look forward to. I have a pre-printed grocery list of staples that I buy and just tick off what we need instead of writing a new list each time. I meal plan etc. I think the trick is to try and make things as simple as possible so that I am not put off doing something.0 -
Hi to all procrastinators.
I achieved most of my little jobs yesterday. I didn't take out the recycling as I was still filling the bag with papers until late, and I set out too early this morning. I can deal with it all tomorrow evening.
I didn't finish my poster either, but I did make a start.
Those two items are carried forward to tomorrow evening (not sure what time I'll be home).
I'll also do a meal plan for the month, finish my shopping list and try to make a budget for the month.
I'll be walking quite a bit tomorrow so that will cover my exercise. I'll also do a bit of a facial if I get time.

I'm another procrastinator! :hello:
I will sort out the kitchen... tomorrow... I will start back on SW... on Monday... I will sort out the kids' bedroom... when they are at their Dad's... I will sort out the hallway... once the living room is done... I will sort out the living room... as soon as I have some energy... I will clean the bathroom... well, the sink and then got bored... I will get a 15 minute timer as this is a great idea (thought that about 6 months ago, still haven't got it)...
The list goes on. Nothing much gets done and it gets me down!
Great thread and I look forward to seeing any progress made by anyone!0 -

Another procrastinator here. I was going to reply to your tread on the first day but didn't get round to it. Ah well.
Actually procrastination is at the root of all my problems with debt, weight and the state of my house. Not mentioning trying to start my PT business. Its something I'm really fighting at the moment and something in would love to change. I'm going to follow this thread and hopefully get some inspiration.
One plan I have every year is to get the house sorted during the winter so I can spent time on the garden in the spring and summer growing veg and getting it sorted. Another year passes and the plan still hasn't been done.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Hi all
Just reporting in. I have completed a meal plan for the coming week, and a shopping list with just a couple of items on (it's so much easier now I have a list of what's in my fridge and freezer). I've also written down a budget - not a big job because I did it months ago then didn't stick to it.
I've finally taken out my recycling.
Still to do this evening:
Poster and update my website
Facial
Some ironing perhaps, or I may put on a pot of soup.
