hi my cro is in Bolton which im shocked about because i havent had a good experience up to now with them. But im nicely suprised with cro so will see what happens. And hopefully he will keep to his word
I have heard that CRO's are on some kind of bonus to get cases cleared up before the CSA evolves into CS3. If there was a good time to have a gripe, or get something done, it is now - hence, why you have detected a (positive) change in their outlook.0 -
well cro kept to his word and phoned me on friday. He said he cant do deo yet as ex is appealing. Cro said they had a call from appeals asking for my files on thursday. Cro said that it shouldnt take long for them to make decision. As soon as its made he will do doe. Does anyone know how long it takes for decision to be made?0

Glad to hear it Rach28 ... looks like things are on the move. No doubt, not quick enough for your liking, but at least there is some action.
OMG may have a point ... I am having a similar experience with my CRO in Falkirk ... maybe they are on "customer satisfaction" :rotfl: bonuses!:wave:0 -
Rach my ex appealed last feb,it went to tribunals in dec,the decision went in my favour unless ex reappealed which I dont think he has,I havnt heard anything.
Unfortunately there lies another problem, now nobody will take responsibility for the tribunal, reassessment, nobody will actually aknowledge they have any paperwork reg the tribunal.
However my case at Bolton, its clerical and they are pretty dire so I dont want to sound too depressing:rolleyes:
Anybody jump in if they have any further experience of appeals/tribunals,I did find it a lot of work, paperwork and it went for nearly a year.I am not sure in reality if they have any power over csa. They pretty much wash your hands off you once the appeal is done, although to be fair that,s probably fair as it is an appeals unit and I suppose the ethos behind is once they have made a decision it is for csa to follow the recommendations.
How are things going in anycase? Are you ok?0 -
Hi things are okay. Just so sick and tired of csa nothing is simple and straight forward. All i can do at the moment is basicaly wait for a decision to be made. cro seems to think that no change should be made. Cro said ex is appealing about the amount he is having to pay but cro said they got his income from his employer and that ex has done a change of circumstance but it didnt change the amount as there has to be more than a 5% change either way. Cro said ex is going to have to basicaly say his employers are lying about his income. I am just trying to get hold of cro at the moment to see if he can get my full weekly maintenance. Because i was awarded £44.00 a week but ex has only been paying £29.00 a week.0

Well just an update after 3yrs ex has crawled out of woodwork and contacted me. He asked to see our daughter, as she is nearly seven i gave her the choice and she agreed to see him so on sunday he came and took her to the local park for an hour. Well any way last night i get a message from him this is what he said.
hi,
firstly thankyou for letting tyler see me, and ive just responded to waynes0 -
Well just an update ex has crawled out of wood work after 3 yrs and wanted to see our daughter. I left the choice down to her and she wanted to see him so he took her to local park on Sunday. Last night i got the followinf message from him.
firstly thankyou for letting tyler see me, and ive just responded to waynes message and yes i would love to see her again.
however i need to try and sort this csa situation, it breaks down to this, there is a high chance i will lose my appeal against there decision, if that is the case then i will have to give up my job as there is no way i can afford to pay what they are asking, if that happens then everyone loses out. im unable to work overtime to cover the cost because the more i earn, the more they want, so im gonna make you an offer.
in return for you stopping the case against me, i dont care how you do it. i will give you a cheque for 1000 pound. plus still pay you 100 pound direct each month, and ill help out as much as i can with regards to tyler and school uniform etc..
this is realistically all i can afford, once it is stopped i will give you the cheque, i know you have no reason to trust me all i can hope for is a chance, plus even if i didnt pay you, you could re open the case straight away, they have my address and my employer details, and im not in the position to change jobs.
this the only solution i have to the problem, if not then we are all gonna lose out.
let me know what you think.
Now im confussed and dont want to make the children that live with him suffer. But he hasnt paid anything towards are daughter and owes 3 1/2 thousand in arrears and is supposed to pay £44 a week maintenace. My husband has told me not to stop the csa but im just not sure what to do. Someone help and please give me some advice on what i should do.0 -
I would say that if he paid up what is owed up to that date that you may accept the offer - it isn't you who has anything to lose. That's just me - it depends on how much you have needed the money.0

So he has crawled out of the woodwork. I would be asking myself why...
Fully appreciate you don't want his other children suffer, but...
1.He owes you 3.5K. He can pay that INTEREST FREE over the next few years via the CSA. He is offering you 1K, in effect wiping out the remaining 2.5K.
2. £44 per week is a reasonable amount, IMHO, to pay for 1 child. He wants to pay £25.
3. You have no guarantee he will pay and then you have to start the CSA afresh.
4.You may even get the advance payment in one lump sum eventually and have them for maladminstration.
5. I agree with your Hubs. Keep on with the CSA. I reckon his is calling your bluff.
What is he going to do with another family to support - pack in his job and claim IS? It's not as simple as that.
6. He is playing a mind game. You play back and start negotiating.
7. My ex tried this exact situation a few months back promising all sorts. He is now back into his old ways again.0 -
And another thing.
YOU have to get the CSA case closed before he coughs up. Not bloo!dy likely.0
