What is so frustrating is that whilst they recognise the delays etc and go a little way to redress that by way of financial compensation, the people actually responsible for making the decisions to delay the action are totally left to continue to work in the same way - so nothing changes.

I couldn't agree more, and it is us the tax payer who is footing the bill, created by someone else's mis-doings.

I got a letter this morning from DWP in Cardiff. It states that " A payment of £275.25 will be paid via Automatic Credit Transfer to your bank ...."

Under "Invoice Number/ Invoice Description" it states " In respect of your invoice/claim".

Is this the financial redress that I have been told about, or is this back payments that I am due? There is no signature or anything, just a heading :"Remittance Advice".

    Would appreciate any insight ...

    Thanx

Have you not had any letter in respect of your claim? I would ring and ask them?

    Hi . thanks Kelloggs

I did try phoning earlier, but I got the usual "Please hold the line, someone will be with you as soon as possible" .... still waiting!

My CRO had said that he was putting forward on my behalf a referal for financial redresss. He said it would go down to Lythem St Anne's, so that is why I am confused about the Cardiff bit.

Another thing ... nowhere on the letter is there a mention of the CSA, a couple of reference numbers which mean absolutely nothing to me.

I will keep phoning until I get someone, and will let you know. ( A part of me is reluctant to call, in case I get let down as it was a mistake!)

I had a phonecall today from the csa..the man wanted to come out and see me. i was a bit suprised so asked why? he could not answer, then i said i am PWC not NRP. He paused - must be some mistake, he said!

I was suprised the csa officers make an appointment to see the NRP. if i was the NRP in this case it would give me time to hide my expensive car (if i had one), make the house look grubby (hide the LCD TV etc etc) and make it look like i was not working!! What wonderful service the NRPs get! Almost a year since i made my claim and not a penny!

Yes this was our argument when I was a face to face officer trying to get hold of the non-compliant NRPs. We argued that giving them prior notice just ensures that they are out or that they deny who they are if they do stay in. However, we were told that we had to notify them at least 3 times before going for a un-notified visit. Waste of public resources.

what 3 times!!! Last year my previous case worker told me they send out face to face officers un-anounced, and that one was on my case. This turned out to be total lies when i made a complaint i.e. no face to face officer was ever requested on my case.

    the case goes on.........

Things may have changed recently as I haven't been there for the last 5 years, but it was so frustrating! The whole face to face system has changed and is now in 2 areas - compliance and customer service. Compliance teams have more powers than before and can investigate much more thoroughly but it is still a long winded process and no guarantees of success.

Today I actually feel like I want to go back there! I must be mad, but I feel like I want my job back! I am due back later in the year but must choose whether to resign and take a teaching job if I get one, or go back. I did actually like my job there as being on the front line out and about, I was actually helping people on both sides to ensure that their cases were RIGHT and that fairness was applied as much as possible. I miss not being able to do that but I may find that the changes means that I hate the job!!!

    Hi Everyone

My first post here, and hopefully you will all be as helpful as ever!

I have just started the process of claiming from my childrens' mother through the CSA. Already I am having problems, firstly because I am a man, it seems and secondly, because they claim to have lost my application.

So, my first question is : How bad is it really? ... and is there any hope for me at all?

I have gone two years without receiving a penny from their mother, and despite my application going in five months ago, I have yet to receive any word of acknowledgement from the CSA.

    Is that normal?

Hopefully, you wise ones will be able to assure me that it will all be rosy in the end ... won't you?

I applied to the csa four years ago as my daughter's dad wanted me (the non-resident mother) to pay for his childminding fees (half of) and yet he lived 50 miles away from me. I was paying £45 a week to him at the time so I decided to apply to pay through the csa. I sent my form off in the Dec and he sent his off weeks later. In Feb they claimed to have lost my application. I knew it was lies, they had used his application instead. Now since then the reduced it £33 a week for my daughter because of the number of days she sees me which helped a lot.:T

I am due to leave work on redundancy at end of May and the csa have told me that redundancy is not seen as income, but I bet you my ex will be the first to complain when my payment could possibly reduce to £5 a week because I am looking for a job. And then I know I will have more problems.
I have a great relationship with my daughter and she gets everything she needs plus extra money from me and my family.
