Rang CSA.they told me as NRP circumstances have changed they have had to sideline the debt and the new calcultion includes the arrears......The new calc lists no arrears in the "arrears column".

I would chase them up, the CSA have no right to 'sideline the debt'. A debt is a debt, end of story.

I get loads of these letters with "arrears columns" on them, always empty. When I call the CSA I get told to ignore those letters, they don't mean anything. I have had three in as many days with differing figures.

The way I see it is ... 'cos you are getting nothing at the moment, just let the arrears build up to such an extent that the CSA can't ignore the debts. I know it doesn't help your cash flow right now, but it appears that they will only act on larger amount of debt to be cleared. Don't worry, you will get it in time, I am sure.

Dunno if it is different under CS1 or not. but under CS2, I get a "statement" everytime a re-assessment is done. Have been told to ignore them, as they are standard print run-offs. To ease my conscience, I duly go off and plant another thousand trees ... NOT!

    Anyway ... how's the craic?

  • I have been dealing with this organisation for 10 years and it only gets worse. No two people will give you the same answer to a question and the information you do recieve is usually wrong. There is no hope for anyone who deals with these useless morons.

    Hi Everyone

My first post here, and hopefully you will all be as helpful as ever!

I have just started the process of claiming from my childrens' mother through the CSA. Already I am having problems, firstly because I am a man, it seems and secondly, because they claim to have lost my application.

So, my first question is : How bad is it really? ... and is there any hope for me at all?

I have gone two years without receiving a penny from their mother, and despite my application going in five months ago, I have yet to receive any word of acknowledgement from the CSA.

    Is that normal?

Hopefully, you wise ones will be able to assure me that it will all be rosy in the end ... won't you?
