Now im confussed and dont want to make the children that live with him suffer.... Someone help and please give me some advice on what i should do.
There is nothing to be confused about Rach, you are doing the right thing anyway, pursuing him through the CSA.
He's trying it on with you, so stick to your guns and follow your convictions. He is not in a position to look for 'deals'. Only he can take responsibilty of his actions ( or lack of them), so don't even concern yourself about the children who live with him. If they were to 'suffer' in monetery terms, then that would be his fault, not yours.
Don't buy his gab .. you have started with the CSA, and are a long way down the road with them, so you might as well see the rest of it through. Do it for your daughter's sake ... it is her entitlement.:wave:0 -
Thankyou everyone for your advice. Im not going to take his offer as in the past he paid me via so to are daughters bank acct then stopped it. If he stops again then it will take me another how many years to get the csa to get money from him.
Also just a quick question if anyone knows and could help please. Im going to go for maladministration and me and my husband worked out ive lost on just under 3.5k will i get all this back or will they pay me just a small amount?0 -

They will look at how long a period the maladminstration has taken place for plus other factors - you are aware of that fabulous sticky link?
You will also be entitled to interest on the sum too.0 -
i first put in the claim forms in, in nov 2004. I lost my job at the beginning of dec 2004 and was made to fill out another claim form for csa. When i rang a couple of weeks later they acknoledge recepit of forms but when they where sent from plymouth to dudley they got lost. I then had to fill out another other the phone in Dec 2004. My award for maintenance goes from march 2006 so ex has only been given arrears from march 2006 so i am missing maintenance between nov 2004 and march 2006.0

well just an update really. spoke to cro yesterday there is still no news on the appeal it could take months apparently. Which personaly i think is ridiculous. Until they have made a decission there isnt much that can be done. Why is everything so slow with the csa. Appeals got my file weeks ago thought they would of done it by now.0

Hi .... yet another update.
Got a letter from my CRO in Falkirk today, basically stating that my complaint has been reolved and is now closed.
Since the Maintenance Calculation was completed, in January, I have only received two payments. I had assumed that the delay was because I had instigated a DEO on her. However it turns out that no such order has been made.
Since my CRO has closed the complaint, my case has been sent to Dudley sensitive cases. As a result he couldn't access my file and I was given a number and extension in Dudley so a case worker could look into my case.
And guess what?? .... Yip, they can't find my case anywhere!
I don't blame my CRO, as he was more helpful than I could imagine. He's done his job in resloving my complaint. But, I kind of feel chucked to one side now and thrown in with the mess that is ongoing elsewhere ... I suppose I am now in the REAL CSA world!
But why Dudley? I already feel a complaint coming on before I have even started with them. :wall::wave:0 -

According to the aforesaid letter my "delay was clearly outwith Agency set timescales .... and have referred your case for redresss due to those delays".
So, who's going to start the bidding on how much I will get? Any advance on a fiver?
I dream on......:wave:0 -
unbelieveable to hear how poor ther CSA. Surely a NRP who is working but unwilling to pay CM and uncooperative should be classed as benefit fraud by the goverment?
my ex has done all the same, a calculation has been made and date set to start payments..which failed to start. CSA tried contacting NRP only on my request still no contact. NRP sent me abusive text messages saying i will be lucky to get anything! Now told CSA who said its with debt enforcement team...so expect this will take more months and be passed around again with case officers!0 -

I got 2 of these sorts of payments - £100 and £150 plus another £50 for letters, phonecalls etc.0 -
What is so frustrating is that whilst they recognise the delays etc and go a little way to redress that by way of financial compensation, the people actually responsible for making the decisions to delay the action are totally left to continue to work in the same way - so nothing changes. If it were made clear that those responsible for making the decisions to not chase the NRP or to allow additional time over and above that stated in the regs (not because of workload but for any other reason such as they feel they should be given more time) would have action taken against them I'm sure that things would change a bit. My case is a great example - my ex kept saying that he would send back the MEF but he didn't. EVERY TIME they called and he promised to send it in, the woman dealing with the case gave him an additional 2 weeks to respond - but she just didn't know when to stop!! Rather than reaching the point of saying 'no, this person has had enough time', she kept believing his sob story and gave extra time. /Whilst there should be cases where a bit of extra time is allowed, there has to be a strict limit. If an NRP promises to send in info by a certain date, firstly you have established that they know what they have to send and have indeed got the forms etc, and secondly they have agreed a timescale. If that time passes with no info, there should be no more time allowed and the next step taken.0
