well received letter today from csa saying they had received my email of complaint and are looking into my complaint and will be intouch in due course. what bugs me the most is the fact that the ex is appealing against his payments. Hes only be acessed to pay £44 a week. I wish i could only pay this to bring my daughter up. The ex didnt even send her xmas card.

We have had the misfortune to have to deal with Plymouth too. Out of curiousity, can i ask why you reported them to the police? What was the outcome?
    Because they're crooks!!

I don't want to say any more - I'm very well aware of the number of CSA staff members on here and I don't trust their motives. After all, they know where I live :rolleyes::rolleyes:

:A :T :A :A I think it;s not so much about money, it's the principle, our children have two parents and we should each take responsibility for their emotional and physical/material welfare. When the CSA are involved there is obviously a problem in maintaining this amicably...and expectations of the ability of a government agency to enforce or coerce compliance?..Don't give up,, don't feel sorry , Just keep doing the best you can..your children will survive and love you for being there for them...xx:A :heart2:

I couldn't agree more ... you are so right. Us 'adults' are supposed to be the grown ups, yet the fact that a government agency has to be set up to facilitate a mediation between two adults, just highlights the number of unjust people out there.

Well, at least they bothered to contact you ... well done for perservering. It may be painstakingly slow, but I am sure they will get round to sorting it out, for your daughter's sake.

Mind you, my ex was recently assessed to pay me just £49/week for TWO kids. A poxy £17 went into my account a fortnight ago, the first payment ever, and since I have had nothing since, presumably the last!

Still can't get my head around how she was able to pay just £17 in ... I just looked upon it as a Middle Finger from her to me!!

Someone will almost always rise to the bait. It's just so predictable.

well after reading these posts i was shocked. Today i got a call from complaints officer already. He was really nice which makes a change for the csa. He said hes going to sort out compensation for the loss of maintenance as my claim form was sent to them in Nov 04 but my maintenance assesment is from march 06. He also said he was going to check to see if he can do a doe but he isnt sure if he can because ex has put in an appeal. The nice young man said he would call me on friday and let me know what is happening. He gave me his ext no and told me just to ring him directly. He said if he can doe it will take about 2 to 3 weeks to sort. It was nice to actualy be told that what has happend with my case was wrong.

Hi Rach ... well done! I too was taken aback when the CRO phoned me. he was also, and still is very co-operative. Mine, true to his word, calls me every Friday, and is preparing my case to be sent to Cardiff or Swansea for me to be recompensed.

Don't expect any compensation soon, as it can only be instigated once your complaint has been closed by your CRO ... but hopefully it will be worth the wait. Incidently ... which office is your CRO at?

Well I dont want to put the dampers on things for you and fingers crossed you wont experience the same support from the complaints department as me!

I have been chasing payment since 2002 from my ex husband, and he has done everything in his power to prevent paying - He owes me loads of back payment too. The CSA have been useless, they only seem to do something if you chase them. I made an offical complaint in September of last year, and also sent a copy of the letter to my MP. The CSA were quick at replying, saying that they would deal with it promptly now. However, surprise, surprise - they wrote to me in October saying it was being looked in to and I havent heard a dicky bird since. I telephoned them last week to chase it and they were going to get someone to call me back - I am still waiting. And as for my MP, he has been a waste of space too - not heard a thing!

If you want something doing, do it yourself....thats what I say!
