Remember what happened to Jeremy Clarkson when he publicised his bank details?
  • Hi. To my shame, I fell for this too; in my case the name used was Simon Walker, and the web site was "car-partz-finder.co.uk" - note that "z". The email I got was worded in the same way others have reported (problems with card machine, etc.) and the bank details given were:
    "Our Bank details are
    Account number :49063760
    Sort code : 30-91-92
    Account Name: Any Parts Finder
    Please use reference: APF670934
Please send me an email once you have made the payment so i can allocate to your order."
It looks to me as if this is one man, probably with knowledge of the car parts/car breakers industry and maybe still employed within in it and operating this profitable little criminal money-maker on the side.
The web site I used is still "live" and still has my original enquiry shown as a "live quote" within the account I apparently set up at the time (9th May).

The stupid thing is, I was suspicious right from the start, because the site had no mention of where the company was located, nor any phone numbers or other contact details, just an enquiry form initially and then a "Contact Us" form, which I have used several times, most recently two days ago, to remind them that I'm still waiting for my part. Fortunately I lost only £20, which I probably won't see again, but I shall be reporting the site to Google and to my local Fraud Squad.

As others have already said, THIS GUY NEEDS TO BE STOPPED! He's probably reading this and thinking he's getting away with it, but of course he can be found via IP addresses and other techie things, so he'd best be careful!

Monkstone house is home to a well respected firm of solicitors - of course there may be other "companies" registered there.

Perhaps this matter should also be posted on Praise, Vents & Warnings by one of the unfortunate people who have been scammed?

Well I am glad I started this thread to create awareness of these Shysters and hopefully stopping some people getting duped....

Can I suggest everyone contacts rogue traders on this form.

    https://ssl.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006mg74/contact

And mention every one of these websites which must be the same person, and every name too which I have conveniently listed here.

    any-parts-finder.co.uk/
