rubiesr4eva wrote: »Narco - just a quick note on your old pennies, if you google it, there are some old pennies, with the date 1933, they are worth £10,000, well worth a look, as some error was made and they are very rare, good luck
Also, if selling them as a job lot, look for penny arcade auctions, I know they have them annually in Warwick and Coventry, and they fetch considerably more at these places as collectors of old penny machines are always after more pennies.
Thanks for that. I don't have a 1933in fact my sticker sheet says none were minted - hence the rarity value.
I'll check out the penny arcade auctions; counts as the 'far north' for me!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Folks, just a quick post as I'm using the slightly hinky Wi-fi in the pub....
Our router died on Monday morning - stone dead. So until the people with the same name as an island in the Inner Hebrides send us a new one, we're without internet at home. This could be any time up to Saturday.:(
So please don't worry about me, I aitent dead!:D
If someone who posts on the Daily Thread - maybe Judi - pretty please - could let them know over there too, that'd be great.
The good news is an ancient and venerable frog has been eaten.
D'you remember that waistcoat that I bought the wool for in 2007?.....
I finished sewing it together and put the buttons on this afternoon!!:T
OK gonna go now before the connection drops - probably be back next week, being realistic.
Fly on, folks.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Shocked brag alert I've been anxiously awaiting the outcome of the renewal of my assessor's certificate, currently there is only a 50% pass rate. I keep checking the web site and the post. I have just looked on the web site and it says
APC from 25/04/2015 to 24/04/2018
APC from 25/04/2012 to 25/04/2015
That looks like my application has been passed:j at least I hope it does - I won't believe it until I have the certificate in my hand but I'm so relieved. Sorry this is nothing about flying although paperwork counts doesn't it? I can't have misunderstood it as I've looked at the web site most days and it has always given the 2015 expiry and a "we have received your application".Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Well today didn't go at all as planned, to start off with our friend doing some work, pointing our patio, turned up 3 days early, so this morning was spent stream cleaning patio, didn't dare turn him away, we've never get him back.
Then got the lovely job of cleaning / trimming 3 cows going to market tomorrow, followed by a phone call informing us we are having an inspection tomorrow, the joys of farming, as if we aren't busy enough lol.
Then had to bake 2 birthday cakes for my aunty (the first one turned out wrong doh)

My head is in meltdown mode.. after the forced mediation on Monday I am now unable to function. I cannot be around people even the social interactions online through chat facilities is proving impossible to maintain. I have just removed myself from almost every aspect of social activity I can.. Why am I so dysfunctional I cannot even deal with people online? How much damage did my parents do and continue to do??

Stick with us, pigpen. Rant all you want and fly with us when you can.
Sorry to hear that other FlyFriends are also going through a bad patch.
I was laid low all day yesterday by something I ate on Monday, but I am looking forward to breakfast this morning. We shall be doing a bit of flying this afternoon, then back to normal (whatever that is!) tomorrow.
My swollen black eye has nearly disappeared: distance vision is OK but I can only read with my good eye, so I must get myself referred to the eye department at hospital. In the past year I have felt my body ageing much faster than the rest of me
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round x0 -
Morning all
Piggers we will be here for you just like you have always been here for us. We will not judge you, we love your quirkiness, you are one of us xxx
Narco well done.
Raining here, be back in an hour after morning despatch. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
