I'll make your room up Jelly, you got a choice of two lol :D

No fighting over which colour chair you're sitting on though ok..

TBH he loves going to choose them, despite it costing around a tenner a time  and, I really can't be &rsed! I made him a batman/spiderman two tiered cake for his birthday which went down well though. :D

We're big Octonauts fans too. Although not so much when I inadvertently step on a vegimal with bare feet in the lounge - worse than lego, I tell ya.

  • mummy likes Octonauts...

This mummy likes octonauts too. There's a science board on Facebook called IFLS, and they did a post today about the immortal jellyfish, and I was like, 'Phft! That's not 'news'! Everyone knows about immortal jellyish, my four year old knows about immortal jellyfish!' But of course, not everyone watches Octonauts! Octonauts rocks!

Ah, big joy for the smugness over amphibious related facts learnt from watching octonauts - lantern sharks, lemon sharks and don't even get me started on the giant squid with 'elbows' :D

Lilty, looks like you and Jelly are sharing, PBS is in the 4th bed, sorry :D

What are the worms called that live in the rocks?!?! :rotfl: I follow IFLS too and have been muchly smug about certain things on there :D probably thanks to Octonauts :D

I refuse point blank to share with Jelly. She SNORES. I put her in her own bedroom at 4 weeks old as I could not sleep with all the noise! :rotfl: PBS can have her.

And I want the orange chair. No one else may has it. :D

And also... Every time I write PBS I think of Peanut Butter and.. Sweetcorn. :o

    Afternoon all,

I finished the blinds and curtain pole at the ex's place last night, it's looking really nice now. Have put a couple of pictures up for him too, just waiting to see where he wants the others.
My hands are sore from screwdriver-related injuries today though and I think I taught his (elderly) next door neighbour some new words last night when things were not going to plan. :o

PBS & Lilty - you be pleased to hear I have been keeping up my newly adopted positivity and it has already been working wonders with Ds. :) From picking him up from school last night until leaving for work this morning, I was as cool, calm, collected and outwardly happy as possible (without scaring the poor boy into thinking I'd been possessed or anything;)). The result = we laughed, we snuggled and giggled and his behaviour has been marvellous since. We have had no major strops or catastrophes from him and I haven't been stressed.

I spoke to his Dad about it last night and showed him a shortened version of your post PBS, and he agreed to try and do the same too.

Thank you both so much for your wise words. :A

After a lovely stress-free start to the day, I had a meeting with customers in the local Marina, so I had a lovely wander round by the water looking at all the boats and soaking up some sunshine, it was really relaxing and I couldn't help but smile. The sunshine is definitely helping with my mood. :)

I picked up a few bits on the way into work - some veg, tea bags, a couple of packs of pillowcases which were heavily reduced and two toys and two books for Ds which were at half price which we shall give him at Easter time.

I've also learnt that I'm probably deficient in vitamin B12, which accounts for A LOT! I have been having problems with dropping and gripping things, pins and needles, EXTREME tiredness, palpitations, irritability etc as well as being slightly anaemic and feeling down a lot, so it does all add up now. I need to get some B12 supplements and will also be getting Ds some kids' vitamins at the same time as I'm pretty sure he's not getting everything he needs from his, somewhat restricted, diet.

Had confirmation today that the Halifox BT has gone through fine, credit cards are also cut up so the debt will not be going higher.

Oh, and I've received and filled in the tax credit claim form, I just need to get the registration address of Ds's childcare place and then I can send it off.

    Hope everyone's enjoying the sunshine

    xx

    Jealous of the chairs.

Just wanted to pipe up on the B12 deficiency as I have it as well. Have had to have injections in the past because it is notoriously hard to boost via digestion and tablets aren't great. Find out what foods are high in it and what helps absorption and try and eat that!! xxx

  • What a wonderful post to log on and read MeandO. I'm really pleased that you have feeling and benefiting from the positivity. Good news on the B12 too, self care is super important if we are to successfully care for others. So, well done on that, and of course congrats on the chairs!
