As long as you're professional, you're within your rights to be however you like. Is it worth it though, if it's not really you and you have to make an aloof effort?

Only that our departments overlap and I have to briefly deal with him on a work matter a couple of times a week or in passing but it is something I can easily keep short and businesslike with none of the pleasantries recently extended to him or coffee break/lunch meet ups. He may think I am an over-dramatic b*stard who was just using him for the job hence dropping the friendship like a hot coal but I have severe reservations about his character now and can do without it in my life.

Someone I had to work with in an overlapping stance tried very hard to *pull me* when my marriage hit the skids. Almost instantaneously in fact. I found it very easy after that to not be my normal chatty self and just speak about work things. I emailed most requests in fact, and eventually he stopped always being the one to pick up my call requests and I got a fair spread of their office

Mmmm!!! No names actually spring to mind but I know there are some missing!! Lots of new ones offering support which is great!!

Levi might know the others I am thinking of as he had more contact with them whilst I was only reading the posts!! Just wish I could remember the names of who I am thinking of!! Their names might just jump out at me in a few days!!

Ed... sorry, yes you're right. I wasn't here to see how the thread disappeared. All I know is I have 9 unread posts on a thread I can't view and can't delete from subscriptions. Levi knows my OCD extends to crazy matters like washing machines that glow in the dark... he ought to know how much that will BUG MEEEEEEE!!!

Given that he took his (very female) fiance to the Christmas-do, I don't think it's highly likely that all this time he has just wanted to jump my bones :rotfl: ... and if so he shoulda said earlier, I'm not adverse to sleeping my way to the top..:p (joke:o)

I have no idea how to resolve that situation Lilt - they may bring my thread back because it was still only on temporary removal last I heard, so maybe if it comes back you will get to see it all and can also delete the subscription :cool:
