Re job Levi - personally I would sort of give him a wide berth, but on the other hand it may have been part of his plan to upset the work/home balance that you have. If I were you I would continue as the chirpy chappie that you are, although you may actually find that you will react differently when near him. Not sure what influence he has with your bosses, but don't give him any ammunition to upset things. Take that opportunity to speak with boss, no need to say anything about application, but it wouldn't be untrue to say you had a bad week (due to other factors)!

Hello Levi. De-lurking to say just be yourself. We can't know what really motivated SR - he did have the decency to let you know the bad news face to face and that couldn't have been easy. He may feel just as bad about the whole situation. I think it's better to treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you - not because they are nice but because you are.

hey sidefx, glad you found me & sorry about the confusion. I asked for the other one to be taken down due to a security concern.

Thanks for the tips on SR folks, I guess I'll have to see how it goes, maybe he will keep his distance from me anyway.

Off to meet a friend for a walk in the park and a chat, LL can feed the ducks and run off loads of energy!

I noticed you had moved virtual homes. Loving the new diary title - so much more upbeat than your last one.

I did mean to message you about the 'security concern' you mentioned. You have to be so careful when publishing 'real life' information/piccys.

Anyhoo, I am so pleased that things are looking more positive for you & LL. Don't worry about the other job. I would certainly count your blessings from your current job. It sounds like you enjoy it, and your current manager sounds perfect.

Once again, I have to tell you I think you are doing incredibly well so Keep fighting the good fight and hope LL's Sunday/Funday is filled with JELLY :j

Lilty my subscription to Levi's old thread just disappeared. I thought I had accidentally deleted it but then I found his nice shiny new one.

Levi please do not worry over SR. He is not worth the head space. You never know, he might feel terrible about it all and it was genuinely out of his control. (benefit of the doubt and all that). I think it was bad for you to have your hopes raised like that. I try and look on the positive though. You got some more experience with cover letters and improved your CV ready for any other opportunities you might like to try

A walk in the park sounds so lovely. I wish I could come!! I am stuck at work.. *sigh* It's a lovely, but chilly day and there are far more fun things to be doing. My only consolation is OH is working all day too. His shift is worse than mine too. 10 hours! ugh.
