Glad you found me Rocka :) ...x

No real update today to speak of. Had a nice walk in the park with one of my good friends, she is able to cheer me up pretty well just by hearing all about her escapades, she is a theatre actress so there is always much action going on with her! Her social life is also relentless- makes me feel like a boring old sod!

But I wouldn't have it any other way. ;) LL and O had a good run around (and both got VERY muddy).. and the duckies were fed.
After I got home and got the mucky pair cleaned up, LL and I popped to Lidl where we did a small shop to get us through this week until pay day - £14.09 it came to - potatoes, mince, chicken breasts, cheese, pita bread, pizza, eggs, milk, a box of cereal,, orange juice, fruit/veg and shaving gel because LL had decided to empty the one I had going into the bath the other day. Everything else I can improvise in the week and do a proper shop after we get back from my parents next weekend.
We ate the chicken breasts for dinner with jacket potatoes and melted cheese and have enough of the meat left for packed lunch pita bread tomorrow. Ugh @ going back to work tomorrow but I'm off on Friday this week so it's a short week, hope it goes fast. Also payday is on Friday...time to chuck a bit more at the debts finally.

Night all, catch up with you soon. Levi...x

  • Hi Levi! I've been away since yesterday morning so have just been catching up with the thread - I would agree with the approach of staying professionally polite and pleasant to SR.

If he was being genuine he will be feeling terrible right now.

If he wasn't being genuine he will take pleasure in seeing you upset. By being relaxed and happy you will deny him that pleasure LOL! If you are terse and give him the cold shoulder he'll know he's "got to you". It's very effective to be happy in your job, keep calm and carry on!

Great that you have your visit to Manchester lined up.

Have a good week, both of you.

Re SR, I think you'd be the better man by just continuing to be polite and your usual self especially if you might forget and carry on as normal anywhoo. Rise above it and hopefully karma will bite him on the bahookie if he was playing games!!

^ Great to see you Verbatim! That's all still going well I think *touch wood*.. he has been on the routine with a grand finale of being in bed for 7pm probably 85% of the time since I began it, so give or take the odd hiccup, he's been doing well and is very compliant. He wanted to nap today after school but I managed to keep him up (small bribe of eating some Minstrels worked wonders :o). I am getting a few hours after he's in bed of peace and managing to watch the 'adult' TV in peace (not THAT kind of adult TV :rotfl:).

We had some veg stew thing that I made tonight but he didn't want it/eat any of it and only wanted a satsuma.. so that is what he's gone to bed on (that and the minstrels) which makes me feel a bit awful but I'm sure it will balance out tomorrow.
I'm still trying to watch my weight and its been going OK I think but my work suit is still too tight :o I'll weigh myself again soon but may get "fed up" a bit in Manchester this weekend coming, you know what mums are like :p

So today - SR asked for a chat. He was visibly nervous, reminded me of a kid who thought he was in trouble :o I guess he thought I might turn around and be all  at him I felt bad for him and was immediately extra friendly and polite. We had a 10-minute chat, I reiterated that it was nothing personal and actually acted surprisingly cool  (way more than he did). I spent most of it reassuring him that we were fine and still 'friends'. He said when I'm ready I can have some application feedback from him, blahdiblah, but I said I'll let him know if and when. I feel better that I've seen him and got that initial awkwardness out of the way - and I know that will be true for him too, I'd never seen him look so nervous, I didn't know I was that scary :o So at the end of that I was the one feeling bad that he felt so bad and well.. its done and dusted. Onward and upward. (Or just sideways, in my case). :o

NSD - had our packed lunches and I didn't go out near the shops on my break, I stayed in and read a book. Only a few more days until payday.
    :T
I hope you all had a decent Monday, don't think there is any other news to report for now!

I suspect that's all good news, but I must admit, your post is somewhat baffling:o

Back on track and wishing L and LL all the best.
  • Hey :) nice to see Lucky. I think the term is actually 'I have started to become super superwoman again after becoming slightly more human for a little while..'

Glad you got out and fed the duckies and had a nice catch up with friend. I am doing the same on a grand scale and it is exhausting and amazing. Man, babies are hard work.. :rotfl:
