Arnold reminds me of what my dog, Bonny, used to look and sound like when she was dreaming LOL! Her little legs used to be going as if she was chasing something!

  • I had the same reaction as Rebecca9883 as I couldn't find the diary anywhere. Glad I did a quick search as I hadn't been on for a few days. My how the world changes in a short period of time.

Sorry about the job but you have had loads of positive messages that I think all of them make sense. My very wise old granny used to say (in an Irish accent) "Whats for ya wont go by ya" I think this is really true - if it is meant to be it will and sometimes things happen for a reason which we don't always realise what they are.

    Happy new diary.

Take care and have a great weekend xxx

Hello :) Glad you all found me :)
Thanks for all the kind words about the job, especially your post Edwink which resonated with me because I hadn't thought in those terms.. ya know, how maybe it was TOTALLY the wrong time for all of this.. all I was focused on was everything about how it was the right time but I think I was motivated by dollar-signs in that regard without properly taking into account everything else.
This has given me a chance to reflect more on how fortunate I am in my current job for an array of reasons and a new found gratitude for the things that are so good about it there, including my manager that is really supportive.
Also Mags - your granny was right with her saying - another one I always try to remember when things like this happen :)

A couple of days have passed since the bombshell and I feel less churned up about it.
Onward and upward but have resolved to keep my cool/distance with SR for a little while.

LL met his health visitor yesterday - it was OK, he is a little underweight but otherwise his health is fine. We spoke about the bedwetting and she told me about The Real Nappy Network- an initiative in our Borough which could provide the reusable nappies and she said also may help him to have more concept of when wet than the disposable type- and obviously would save a lot on costs.. so I will look into that. She isn't unduly concerned as quite a normal thing in boys his age regardless of his emotional turbulence. I have explained him sharing my bed makes it more of an issue so she understood why the whole just letting him 'wet the bed' won't work too well - and how for some reason every pull-up style leaks out of the legs or he takes off. Pj the glamour of parenthood never ends! ;)
She was quite impressed with how we are doing with his routine and was supportive of giving up naps.

Payday almost here..:) I will enjoy making little my payments to all 5 of my debts and updating the sig! I have to remember, time flies and the numbers will come down rapidly if I just keep the focus! :)

Oscar had his booster reminder letter in the post today and I need to book him in for the that in the next couple of weeks... I have a £5 off voucher from our vet to use too so that will help with the bill.
We didn't get too far making the cat-collage but we have found some good pics and had a look through with a view to making something with them or having a canvas made up :)

Haven't needed to shop yet but possibly tomorrow.. badly need petrol too but am pretending to myself that I don't.. .. I want to eek it out until mid-week if I can!! We are likely heading to Manchester next Friday night for a long overdue visit to my parents instead of our planned Suffolk trip, so will need a big tankful for that.

Hope you are all OK .. loads of love.. Levi  xxxx

    Hi Levi,

liking new diary title :) Sorry to hear re SR, some people can be on a power trip and play games. Although it was gutting at the time, sounds like you maybe had a narrow escape - especially given the experience of the female colleague you mentioned who didn't find it a good experience working for him. Office politics can be a nightmare so staying where you are might be no bad thing even if its not top dollar.

    Have a good weekend :D

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi Levi
I bought a bed cover years ago called a wet blanket or something similar from Green Baby. It cost about £20 but its been worth its weight in gold. Its a soft flannel style sheet that goes ontop of the bed sheet and it is amazing. I dont see the point in paying for under jams or nappies for kids who are dry during the day for the odd accident. Which is totally normal.
But if you can get something free from your council, then why not. But totally get the wet bed thing being a turn off for you.
It reminds me of the time I was at a very fancy hotel for my sisters wedding and my then 2 year old wet the bed whilst in with us. We were mortified. Fortunately the bathroom was a wet room with self heating flooring. So we draped the sheet over the floor and it dried and we put it back on. Hopefully housekeeping never knew. But I bet they have to deal with loads of grim stag do, hen do things anyway....
I did feel a bit guilty, until we were asked to leave the pool for having a little one with us, by some snooty middle aged guests as apparently a spa hotel pool is only for fat annoying rich people, not kids :) Not that Im bitter or anything...

Ohhhh shiney new diary!!! Sorry about the job Levi. I am just about to become unemployed so I am going through the process of endless applications and cover letters. So far 100% have not even acknowledged my application. I just keep trying though. Applying for anything and everything.

You will most likely find something more suitable in the future and as you say, you are ok at your current job.

I hope you are pleased and can see the progress you have made from your first diary entry. You and your little family are going to achieve great things. :)
