Jumps ship from a bit of posting but mostly lurking on old thread to sailing aboard the new
Love the title and hope there's orange jelly soon
Sorry to hear about the job, I think as time goes by you'll see it as a lucky escape, for now it's raw and hurting. Such ashame the news came on the day you were due to meet the Chaplain. It's a slide down a snake day after climbing lots of ladders, you'll be back on top before you know it.
With Ozzy and LL by your side, your MSE supporters and not forgetting FGM (and work flexing), you've got a winning recipe :TBack on the DFW Wagon:

CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -

Hi Levi,
Got to say you're not alone in the job thing, I'm going through something similar atm, luckily I have written evidence of my complaint so can make it formal, although no idea what it will achieve. Sometimes I just need to have a good cry about it to get it all out there!0 -
Hi Levi! Found your new thread!
Don't be too down about the job...sounds like SR was spinning a bit of a yarn tbh....but you still have your current job, so you're no worse off than you were, and they seem to be pretty flexible and understanding towards LL and his childcare needs, so that's something to be thankful for.
Keep going as you are, you're doing great.
Ditto me! Couldn't say it better so am seconding this!

Lurked on your other thread - only diary i have followed for several weeks. Been willing you on silently and you are doing so well.
Would like to be the first to mention Orange Jelly on this thread as the jelly tales should continue.
Sorry you have had a crappy day - as one door closes hopefully another one will open to let you through very soon. At the moment though, concentrate on the positives . Your current job seems flexible to help you with childcare. Loved hearing about the workspace you made for LL.
You are a great dad and things will get better. Try posting your three good things a day - and if you're short make a bowl of jelly TO SHARE and that will be one of them! you have your weekend away to look forward to also.0 -
Hi Levi and gang
Last to the party as always:o sorry Levi re the job you must feel so betrayed, all I can say is you had your doubts about SR, and your instincts are proved correct. You wouldn't want to work for a guy like that as that would make you unhappy, you are worth ten of him honesty is a trait to be admired it's just a disappointment that he wasn't honest with you sooner.
So pleased that you are starting a fresh, love the title too

Hello Levi! A few words spring to mind about the plonker who built you up without, it seems, the real authority to do so. Truly he is the (w)hole of an !!!!!! Thank goodness you won't be afflicted with him as a manager as it sounds like he is carp at it. Words fail me!!
Sadly there are jumped up idiots who do this. I must admit I also used to fall for it and now I think that talk is cheap. The people who count for me are those who get off their bottom and actually do something. I am cross!!!!! To say the very least!!!
Having said all that lets get back to you. You are thankfully still fully employed in a job you seem to like and you mAnaged the very difficult meeting with dignity. Good for you! And you have LL and you are a decent man who helps others and gets back lots of support as a result. You are super! So there!!
Have a peaceful evening and continue to act graciously toward the Pratt, it'll stand you in good stead! XxWith family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!

I'm feeling a little better tonight having had time to absorb, talk to a few folk about it and also the support on here, thanks
You know something, the whole "better devil you know" thing is probably true here. The job I have already, whilst not the highest paying - still enables me to pay all that I need to pay, service my debts, stay in a good routine with LL, flexible, accommodating and have been there almost 4 years so very comfortable and familiar. That there is way more than a lot of people have and for that I am truly grateful. Also, my manager text me earlier and we had a little chat - I didn't say what had happened obviously, just that I had some bad news today, and she said "Don't be afraid to ask for any help you need - I will run to you" - which almost made me cry as for my manager to say that reminded me that I am surrounded by good people I work with that I can also consider friends.
SR - your loss buddy.
I have an awful headache but I think it's from the emotional day. LL had a lovely time, he saw Paddington The Movie! And he and FGN brought me back a peppered steak slice and a chocolate eclair from the little feast they had hadI didn't expect FGN to cater for me too!
He also came home with "Arnold The Snoring Pig" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JewgskrfyY which FGN's friend had given to him as she no longer wanted him..
he finds it hilarious! Ozzy can't make head nor tail of it but is cute to watch him figuring it out
So LL was a very lucky boy today on his half-term day out with our wonderful FGN! Fast asleep now in bed and hopefully having sweet dreams! We have the Health Visitor in the morning to give him a bit of an MOT. Only a week now until payday and I can post an update on that front.. feels like forever since I was last paid but keeping the NSD's going strong. Will have to do a small shop this weekend possibly, if I can't make the things we have in the kitchen stretch for a few more days, but if so, will go to Lidl.
Night folks thanks for coming over here with meLevi...x
