I spent the entire day in bed. So far the person i am buying the tree from has not turned up. If i dont end up buying it i will be paying off my entire cc bill from this months salary. I almost hope they dont turn up. today i did an hour of work and spent the whole day in bed but did a junk food shop for £9.

Bed rest is good, you need to do more to recharge and try to get through to the next holiday.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1

I spent £9 on junk food, which i ate yesterday! Today i am going to be good and try to do my 4 hours of prep instead of my usual 6 hours due to the hols. All being well my nearly new (one year old) amazing Christmas tree may come tomorrow, the seller hasnt been able to deliver up till now. The only way i can buy luxury things on my salary is by buying second hand. lol.
It is sooo good to have a week off. For the first time ever, i have not put my heating on in October the bills are the same as when the heating was on though. I feel like we are back in the 70s again. Major thunder and lightning here although we have had sun earlier today for a while. Only 4 bits of marking left for today.Aiming for a minimal spend 20221 -
4 hours is still plenty!
A lot of people are using heated throws, apparently they're cheap to run and might be a compromise with the heating.
Have you sorted your heating timer ready for when it does go on, so it's intermittent instead of constantly on? That will bring your bills down too.
GCH in the 70s? My goodness that would have been a luxury 😉Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
We only had heaters in the 70s I meant the economy being like the 1970s. lol.Aiming for a minimal spend 20221

In a way yes, but in a way there's a lot more available compared to 50 years ago, oh, that makes us nearly old!!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
I remember there being ice inside our bedroom window when we were kids 🥶 I still struggle when a room is overheated with central heating. It’s so mild here no heating on yet. It was only cold one evening up north when DF put his heating on

So far the heating has stayed off. The new washing machine arrived but removing the old one was a nightmare. involving ripping up floor tiles and take out surrounding cupboards as my kitchen is badly designed. Some people i know did it, in total it cost £120 for a full day of hard work but i do feel ripped off a bit too as i am sure they could have charged less. I wont be using them again.
Luckily work is giving us a £200 bonus for the electric bills and i will use half of that!
I have been marking for 4 hours every day. I have more marking for Thursday and Friday. On Saturday i will go to the pictures with my Lloyds tickets with Andy and Crafty Hants.Aiming for a minimal spend 20221 -
Are the people who did the work friends? Otherwise how many hours? If you say day rate 8 hours (?) at £15 an hour it doesn’t sound so much. Enjoy the cinema on Saturday 😊0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
