  • Seems to be a soggy one everywhere, gardens needed it.

Would doing work first, then your personal stuff draw a clearer line, as you'll have set hours for working unlike later when I can imagine you'll keep going into the evening.

  • Not sure how an online medical test for kidneys works? Hope they are ok. Hope you get your greenhouse sorted

  • This kidney test comes in a box and you follow an app. It's been sitting here for weeks as i am too scared to open it. I will do it before the day is out - how can a human being be afraid of a tiny box????

So far i have just hung clothes up on line, in one hour i will run out and bring washing in as it is due to rain again. I am taking some time to read the papers then will start some lesson prep. All is well i am feeling cheery only 4 weeks till payday. lol

  • Hope you got the test done and the washing dry. It only rained once here this morning so I managed to get my washing dry on the line this afternoon

Same here, washing is dry and put away. Today's lessons done hurrah, only a few to write tomorrow.

Friends were coming to help me take the greenhouse down but i have had to cancel as i worked all day on Saturday and Sun from 9-3 and 9-4 this weekend, i can imagine it being like this every week till half term which means i wont have time to take it down. I keep wondering about the electricity bills and how high they will go Keeping fingers crossed, let's see what the new PM does to help us, I cannot afford a much larger rise in bills, i can see my Christmas being sans lights this year.

It was great to see Martin Lewis on GMTV this morning discussing our views with Edwina Currie's concept of reality. The tide is turning and it appears we may get substantial help with the Electric Gas Bills.

£17.00 food shop and £18.00 spent on new showerhead after work.

  • I'm just waiting to see what they decide and how much we'll all end up paying back in the future.

    Enjoy your new shower head!

  • I love your optimism SW but it’s usually people like us that have to use our savings. I thought we were quite “lucky” to be all getting £400 not means tested. Fingers crossed that you are right and we will get more help

  • Her Majesty has passed away, God Bless her. The Government now have time to fine tune their bill plan whilst the paper's are focussing on the sad news so we still don't know what we are paying next month. Work is ever so slightly manic at present.

My plan is to cook a great bolognaise this afternoon for the rest of the week as i made do with sandwiches last week with all the prep in the evenings and late finishes.

I'm just glad it is the weekend, so far i have only done 3 hours today. I am meeting friends for a meal later.
