Thank you ladies, I'm fine it is just a slight cough now and blocked nose. I have done a bit of marking and taken all Christmas decorations down including Henry. I cannot believe how dark it is outside.

OK you know that perfume i ordered, it is the wrong one again it was the same colour as the DKNY one but i didnt realise the name was slightly changed. I will wait for it to come, it is only for wearing inside the house. If it doesnt smell of apples i will sell it on facebay along with the other one.

The light has just appeared outside after a misty start. Today i will finish my marking and start tidying the spare room which has all my Christmas decorations in it helter skelter. If poss i will list one unwanted perfume for sale.

I am happy to be resting at home it is such a luxury after the last 4.5 months of work.

To be honest i have loads from last year I think it might be. Ive been up since 3am as couldnt sleep and now I feel tired! Last few bits of marking to do today. My storage room looks like a total mess. I must look at it! Payday tonight. I cannot wait till credit card is paid off.

  • Pick and make one resolution and stick with it.
Look at the storage room and run away. Dive in tomorrow and do 15 - 30 minutes.

That is sooo funny. I have been too scared to go in there. In reality it will take about 30 mins to sort it as i am a minimalist but I have done marking today and am feeling brave enough to face it tomorrow. Payday tonight i am sooooo happy.

I am just thinking ahead, I hope to start to save £50 a month extra towards retirement if i can in the new year. So my new OPs and savings will be £850 a month instead of £800. All my savings are in my mortgage fund and that will be gone in 3 years. I tried to have minimal spending last year but it could still be better.

The new job involves preparation every night and weekend but will be worth it in the summer. It would be great if i can look after my garden this year, if i can find some time closer to the summer.

  • Do you have an offset mortgage? If so, open up a different account for your £50pm and let that build up as savings. It doesn't feel good seeing nearly every penny vanish and is unsettling, you can combat this with a regular saver paying reasonable interest.

Hopefully you'll free up time by doing all the prep and be looking for ideas to transform your garden.
