Hi Skinty it is in the big town next to me not where i currently work. I'm just hoping for the best.

I'm about to have my second cup of tea! Yum. I have been crackers and paid off my credit card bill one month early, it is a v nice feeling. 

Now I will scout round in freezer for something i can cook later. My plan is to do only essential shopping this month. £40 left - an adventure........

Even better. Is it same line of work or something new. I think you are very brave. I am stuck with the security of my current job and it’s so scary to think of going elsewhere when you are the only earner & no OH. I wish you all the luck in the world. You will smash it & they will be lucky to have you x

It is the same line of work thank goodness luckily it was advertised just as i was told i might be in danger of losing my job or I would never have had the courage to apply. I might have to stay at a friend's house for part of the week (she is v kind and lives by the beach which is such a plus!!!!) so i am hoping i get it!

Did anyone watch the two new moneysaving programmes which started on tv this week? One is called 'Extreme Savers' and the other one is 'How To Save £1000 in 24 Hours'.

I watched both for inspiration and the second one was really good that's why i am going through my existing food before buying any new bits.

Ooh might have to check those shows out. I never think to watch them because they remind me of those articles that are like “how I bought a 500k house working minimum wage” and it always turns out halfway through they lived with their parents for 5 years to save and got a massive inheritance!
