She said the billing day was 11 September so I will find out maybe next month. A bit worried but I hope they will let me off. I will ring and grovel big time. I can't believe I was sooooo stupid. Yikes. I had lots of money in a different account and I could have transferred. What a dork. But that's what happened when you are v busy. Any how I am shattered and I have a loooooong day at work tomorrow so I will go to sleep and wake up early to do prep at maybe 4am.
Goodnight Mrs Upside Down Bear and everyone.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Yesterday some lovely friends visited out of the blue. I haven't seen them for ages and then the boys visited too (this was expected), I had a fab day entertaining and the house was full of nice guests. Andy bought me some of his famous Dorset Apple Cake which was gorgeous and melted in my hands. Delicious. I love his cooking.
Today was spent tidying housey, lots of washing up needed after yesterdays meals and scrubbing the kitchen!!!!! and it took all morning and some of the afternoon. I had planned to write my lessons today but I was so exhausted after yesterday that I haven't. I kept trying but was exhausted. I will wake up early to write them I should be fine after a long sleep. I am shattered but ok.
I have had a look at what I am supposed to be doing and am thinking about it. Weather is glorious. It is supposed to rain for a few days and then I think a heatwave is predicted. Hurrah. It has been a NSD for me all weekend so far and I still have £20 to my name. lol.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
I am planning to work tomorrow morning, do a food shop and finally catch up on my ironing. Isn't my life glamorous?
On a positive note I had a NSD today. 7 working days till payday. Not that i'm desperate or anything. lol.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Ooooer yes please. I have missed him. Thank you so much Mrs Upside Down Bear.
It feels like he is looking just at me. Yum. Yes please!!!! I wish I could meet him one day. Bet he doesn't worry about money.
I did lots of admin at work today. Then tonight I went to As@a and spent quite a lot of money on food: £28.55. They overcharged me by one pound in total on two items and gave me a £2 gift card plus the £1 which is nice. I left thinking how much cheaper Aldi was I think I have saved lots when I have shopped there and was used to low price bills. I wish it was closer to me.
Other than this I have been good and not wasted any money!!!! Slowly, slowly I am getting there. How on earth can people afford to eat well? I seem to find the food shopping v expensive and I am on a good salary and only shop for one and don't buy any alcohol. What am I doing wrong? Is it just me that thinks this? I thought with zero per cent inflation prices would be quite low. Silly me.
It is quite chilly tonight. I had to use a hot water bottle yesterday. I think this is cheaper than putting the heating on. I do get cold v quickly being a wimp and all.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
I had a NSD today. It was a good day but sad as one of the nicest people I know told me they were going to leave to do the same job abroad. Another excellent person is leaving because of the pressure as the working conditions and pay are so much better overseas. I am too ill to go to another country no one would insure me. I like my job but I just hope I can make it through this year. I have another twenty odd years before I retire. I don't know if I can do it.
I have many positive things to look forward to but I am scared as there is no such thing as a job for life. Times are certainly changing.
I am taking comfort from friends on other blogs who have saved despite what was going on around them, kept their faith and are now reaping the rewards. I hope I will be one of the fortunate ones who will be able to have a good future. Scary times.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Another beautiful day today. I have about three weeks of ironing to do. I am going to do that to catch up and avoid spending money. I have said no to a carboot visit and instead I will iron to nice music in the garden (v cheery and work on my tan) and then do some prep for work later.
I love the telly a cheap way to pass time and see the world. I have been watching The Real Housewives of Cheshire on catch up tv. They are all so glam but argue soo much. If I was that rich I wouldn't argue I would have fun. How the other half live. I wonder who does their ironing? lol.
It is now Sunday night, I have done a fair bit of work for tomorrow and also housework as well as ironing. I have only £4 to spend till payday but I have saved a fair bit for my kitchen and overpaid my mortgage at the start of this month so I am happy. I keep thinking I am really poor but I must remember I am not as I have savings now rather than wasting my money. In reality I am not it's just that I am not buying frivolous things any more with little to show for it than I used to a few years ago.
So far I only have £1500 saved up but I will get there in the end. Onwards and upwards.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220
