I am back and healthy. I had to lie down as the stuff they put it eye wiped me out and made me v queasy! Poor taxi driver didn't know what to do with me on the way home!
I have just read in today's news about a young man who has been pretending to be rich to make friends. How terribly sad. There is a lot of pressure on people to keep up with the Joneses especially on media like Facebook. V sad. Material belongings aren't so important (she says with some irony).Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Well blow me, it is raining cats and dogs here. The rain is like heavy shards of glass and there just has not been any respite. My friends and I were supposed to go to see a film and have a meal but we are not suicidal so we are doing it next week instead.
The rain is rather beautiful (if one is inside)- the view of my garden getting soaked is amazing. I do feel sorry for the people that work outside today. Crumbs.
I did not pop out to post my sold fleabay item as I didn't want to drown in the walk to the post office so I have had a lazy day. I have been on hols for exactly 3 weeks now and I shall have to start some prep for next year. I have seen my payslip for next month which has my overtime on it. I shall be using this to pay extra to my mortgage but will continue to save something in the kitchen fund. Money is v tight at the moment maybe because I am spending more as it is the holiday.
Am going to be in the New Forest and Swanage beach area for next few days. Aesop, Mrs Upside Down bear and Stereochild have a lovely weekend.
I must be good, I must be good, I must be good but I shall definitely have fun! :jAiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Have a peaceful vacation.Debt free 24/03/2015./ On Dave Ramsey's Baby Step 3./Full Emergency Fund 2500/6000./ Got mortgage on the 28/08/15./ 2015 MFW #117 1242.89/20000 -
Steve, Andy and Susan kidnapped me and I was not allowed to leave till last night. I only took 3 changes of clothes and they kept asking me to stay. I said I had run out of clothes so they gave me Steve's onesie (the one I always laugh at) and made me wear it whilst my clothes were washed.
We had an utter ball. Lots of delish food, visits to Swanage, fireworks, the beach, the steam train, shopping in WestQuay and New Forest. It was fab I was totally spoilt. Whilst I was away I made a few fleabay sales. In total I think I have made about £130 this month. However, I have spent much more. Still I used to spend 100's of pounds on a flight and much more on hotels and sightseeing so this has been a bargain holiday.
I will go into work on Monday and work full time trying to clear desk and do work for next year. I have 3 new courses to write. But I do love a good summer holiday and this one has been amazing. Payday tonight. Yay. I will get my overtime which will go straight into mortgage fund. I would love to spend it on my garden but I will be a good girl and save.:D
I have just read CrazyKitten's diary and I have found something proactive for me to do. I am going to try not to use my credit card any more - for as long as possible. I have forgiven myself for my holiday spending (350 in total for London and Swanage holidays) but now I am going to avoid using it for the rest of the year. I think it will be helpful as then I cannot waste money with nothing to show for it.
My doctor has said I shouldn't be doing any extra hours at work as I am quite ill so I will not be earning any overtime and I am going to learn to live within my means. Fingers crossed.Aiming for a minimal spend 20221 -

Plans sound good. I'll cross my fingers too0 -
Yay to payday! Another £250 in the kitchen fund and £2050 towards mortgage paid this month.
I spent the day in Gunwharf. Had a fab time. Weather was glorious food was great and I spent cash rather than my card. Tomorrow I meet my two friends to celebrate v late birthdays (back in Gunwharf) then i will be good for the rest of the holiday.
20 days left till I return to work.Aiming for a minimal spend 20221 -
The shops and restaurants were packed today. Every time I have been out in the summer they have been very busy. Maybe the recession is over?Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

A beautiful warm day today and really sunny too so I did a bit of gardening and plenty of cleaning and then a bit of reading in the garden. A good NSD.
