I am so happy with my tv. It weighs a fair bit as it has a glass screen but it is great and it means I can now watch tv in my room without having to stay up. Yay.
Now I don't need anything or feel like wanting anything for a loooong time. Hurrah!!!!
My friends have popped by over the holiday some that I haven't seen in a while. They are going on luxurious holidays abroad. I honestly am so happy for them but know that it's just not for me at the current time or possibly ever again. I did travel a fair bit when I was younger but luxury resorts have never been for me. A few eyebrows have been raised when they realised that I have bought second hand things. They felt sorry for me I think and surprised that I am living like this. I, on the other hand, am in the deep clutches of the MSE cult and am quite proud of myself. I remember when I used to earn a huge amount and was always close to overdrawn. Now I have some savings and a plan for the future. I am getting there.:T

This is the last Friday of my holiday. We go back to work next week. It has rained and we have had plenty of thunder too. Yikes.
In true lazy style I have spent the day watching old espisodes of Criminal Minds and Real Housewives of Miami as well as housework. The first terrifies me and the second is just plain fascinating. If I was ever rich I would not do any of the things they do: Boob jobs, fancy cars, fancy shoes you can't walk in, constant meals in expensive eateries whilst they maintaining a a size zero figure with perfectly bleached hair.
Me, I would be soooo boring. I would buy a holiday or two and someone to landscape my garden. Since this is unlikely to happen it is good to watch and laugh at how the other half live!
I am quite short of money so I will be very careful for the next two weeks. I have been invited to a car boot and must also visit a sick friend tomorrow. I am going to take the weekend off and do some work on Monday I think.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Morning Savingwannabe!
Not that you'll need it, but good luck for next week! When do you go back, tomorrow?
I know, I sometimes watch the real housewives of... and I have NO IDEA how people can spend money the way they do!
Saying that though, I remember when I was 18 and got my first full time job & saying to my parents, what on earth am I going to do with £1k per month?! (at the time, they didn't charge me rent and I mad minimal outgoings), but you get used to it quickly and start finding things to spend it on i guess!!

Hallo ladies, I was supposed to go to a carboot but just couldn't get up. I am soooo ashamed, I'd been up till late watching tv, it's all Agent Hotchner's fault. Does anyone else thing he's gorgeous?
Then I rang ill friend who is now at home and she needs me to visit her on Wednesday when I will clean her house and help before the nurse visits her. Her husband is with her today so it is good to not be a gooseberry! lol.
I have had a lovely lie in and am now mowing grass in garden which usually takes all day. Still it means I can't spend any money which is good as I have £50 to last me till payday in two weeks. Yikes. I go back to work on Thursday - only two days till the bank holiday weekend. I haven't even looked at the scheme of work as it is so boring but will do it tomorrow.
Weather is glorious. I am in my shortest skirt mowing grass trying to get a nice tan on my legs. I chucked out my shorts as I am too fat for them. Beautiful day. I wish we only had to work on horrid days. I wonder if I can suggest that to my boss?
I am so excited as I am going to make my garden as pretty as possible. As soon as payday comes I am going to buy some nice flowers for garden. That and some non allergy lipstick as I am an undressed drag queen without it. I might ask my nieces to come shopping with me as they are young and hip and will be honest about what suits me. :rotfl:Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Omg. Welcome back. Hello missus. I missed you. I want to find out all about you and where you live.
Also same for Lala and Stereo Child. Maybe we can visit in the holidays ps that goes for Aesop too. Summer ones are best for me as I don't get much free time in the academic year. Plus by then I might have been on a diet and lost some weight.:rotfl:Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Bless you Mrs Upsidedown Bear, I remember this when it first came out. I was teaching in a lecture theatre and a window cleaner appeared in one of the windows. I said 'diet coke break' and the class burst out laughing. lol. Those were the days. :rotfl:
I haven't done any thing either. I am half way through mowing garden. Steve and Andy have just come back from hols with Susan and are doing washing. It's just too nice to do anything strenuous. This is a chill day.
I hope work is ok too. I must learn to chill and not get stressed out. Life is about nice days like today.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220
