Secrets of the Parking Wardens: Channel 4 goes undercover to investigate the private companies issuing more than 2.5 million tickets a year, in an industry that's booming.
All of the *right* people have been contacted during the making of this programme, and watch out for an appearance by the Prankster, who is rumoured to have bought a new hat for the occasion.
PPCs, BPA and IPC should be afraid. Be very afraid.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. Secrets of the Parking Wardens.
Wherever you park they are waiting to pounce. Whether you're out to do some shopping or grabbing a burger, catching a train or visiting a hospital, the private parking industry is watching how you park. Thanks to new camera technology and a change in the law, it's an industry that is booming. Since 2007 the number of parking tickets issued by private companies has grown five-fold to more than 2.5 million a year. But as the parking firms rake in the money, complaints against the industry have soared. Dispatches goes undercover to investigate the secrets of this new parking scandal.

Except ANPR does not do that, does it.

Oh dear, some truth in what he says but certain to end in tears
But maybe he lives in ScotlandIf you can beat a hasty retreat without paying do so.
You don't have to pay a fine for parking on private land.
The ticket is on the individual not the car.
Just say you lent the car to a friend.
As it is private land courts cannot force you to disclose 'this friend'. Therefore the ticket is unenforceable.
Of course if it's Government land you would be forced to disclose the identity of 'your friend'.
