My experiences are worst with 4x4 drivers, especially during the school weekdays. Can't park in a space, erratic driving, sitting too close up the rear bumper when on motorways because they're too impatient when somebody else is overtaking, and will never get over when in a one lane area when it is safer and better for them to do so.

Bit shocked that Audi drivers are topping the poll, I've always been amazed that they still make taxis, vans and BMW's without working indicators.

No point. Very few people, in any make of car, seem to use them these days, particularly when changing lanes on the motorway.

I don't normally have a problem with taxi drivers but one did drive into our garden and up to the front door despite their being no driveway and having to drive down two steps to get there. He then chewed up a lot of the grass getting back to the road where he sat waiting for his fare without checking the underside of the car. A bit worrying.

Can we add "people who are late for work" to this? I drive OUT of a big hospital campus every morning at 8am, and the standard of the driving coming the other direction is like wacky races! Doesn't seem to matter what they're driving.

This weekend i have visited a friend who lives in wells (around an hour from bristol) and i had to travel on the M1, M42 & M5 to get there.

During the 4.5 hour journey home , I decided to keep a mental tally of idiotic/dangerous/bully drivers and made a note of the cars they were driving.

When i was in the far lane (and i was doing 70mph -despite going at the max speed allowed - I STILL had drivers behind me up my backside /flashing or gesticulating for me to move into another lane.. Now i have to admit i am not sure what the "protocol" for this is - but towards the end of my journey it made me rather belligerent towards any driver who was rude and being a bully. It made me angry. I wasnt crawling at a snails pace. These owners just werent happy unless they were doing 90mph.

As I moved between lanes frequently (so i wasnt hogging anyone particular lane for too long ) guess who the biggest culprits were - YEP Audi, BMW & POLO's - .. (although there in the interest of fairness i also noted a couple of daewoo's & and a few ford focus owners to be guilty parties also.

If you hailed a cab which was facing west but you needed to go east then what do you expect the driver to do fGs?

Unless forbidden on certain roads a u-turn is a perfectly legal action.

I bet you are one of those drivers who deliberately speeds up to the taxi in order to cause a scene whilst honking your horn in displeasure.

U turns are illegal. I also dont expect him to do a u-turn when there are cars on both sides travelling at 30mph . It would be good sense to wait for there to be a clearing. Instead he chose to swing round onto my side of the road and nearly take me out in the process.

In bold - No i am not.

  • rainbowfairydust - your poll left out people travelling from Sheffield who sit in the outside lane when they should have moved back in sooner :D
  • Buses without a shadow of doubt and I hate them to, Got one the other day right up my rear and we hit the traffic lights which were red and then when they turned green I waited and until they went orange and drove off leaving him sitting there cursing at me, Teach him a lesson for being an idiot. :)
