Biggest culprits - inconsiderate drivers?

Also, sometimes a slow driver can cause you to miss a green light which delays you even more.
But that averages out. Slow drivers are just as likely to make you "miss" a red light as a green one, thereby saving you from having to stop.
But, if you're getting annoyed by them, you'll probably only notice the times they make you miss a green......0 -

Except that I slow on approach to a red light anyway for that very reason - better chance of not having to stop. What will your verse be?

Or you could be the person who is able to pull out from a side road onto a very busy road due to the gap in the traffic caused by the slower driver on the busy road. All swings and roundabouts at the end of the day.'I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my father. Not screaming and terrified like his passengers.' (Bob Monkhouse).
Sky? Believe in better.

As a van driver, it amazes me how some drivers think it's ok to suddenly change lanes in front of me without warning or pull out of a junction so I have to brake sharply. But hey, no worries, I'm only driving a 7 ton Merc.
Another pet hate is drivers inability to use a roundabout correctly, whether failing to indicate at all, or indicating left then turning right, as I have witnessed a few times, why they do that is beyond me. But then again, no worries, I'm only driving a 7 ton Merc, it handles <sarcasm on>just like a go kart <sarcasm off>.0 -
There's a fairly affluent town near me, which has a large population of older/retired residents. It seems that none of them know how to use a roundabout, you can see cars sitting at all four junctions, the drivers all looking at each other, waiting for one of them to make a move!
I've been stuck in traffic because of roadworks on my commute this week. People who don't keep up with the flow of traffic are making my blood pressure rise. There's always someone who is checking their phone/reading the paper/putting on their make-up, so that they don't realise when the traffic has started moving. They then crawl along at 2mph to catch up, only speeding up to beat the temporary lights, which I then get stuck at.
Pedestrians who walk in front of your (moving) car when there is a pedestrian crossing less than 10 feet away from them. It's been very bad this week with parents hopping through the traffic with prams and little kids in tow! (Anyone who drives through the Greenwich one-way system will know what I'm talking about)"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
My pet hate is people who sit 2 feet from your back bumper yet refuse to overtake when there is ample opportunity (eg no oncoming traffic, dead straight road).0

A new pet hate today. 2 lanes, Me on the left a car to my right and nothing immediately behind. I see a bus ahead so pull ahead enough to safely move to the right hand lane.
As im moving across i look in my rear view mirror to see mr wally speeding up to undertake the car behind. Not sure if the car sped up to try to block them as i was watching and slow for pedestrians that had got off the bus and crossing the road.
As i slow i check my mirror again and mr wally is virtually in my boot. Staring at him in my mirror and shaking my head gets no response.
I carry on up the road and turn off, The then passes with a blast of the horn?
He waited until i was commited to the turn before doing this. Typical i didnt have the dash cam fitted yet.
Really must get around to having it installed.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I do drive a BMW now for my sins (with Indicator pack),
I thought I may be treated differently by other BMW's now I am "in their gang", but nope, I still get the 118D, 320D trying to race three inches behind.
By far and away the worse in my opinion are the Audi A3 drivers, the modern day chav's chariot of choice. The whole road is their race track.
Lack of indicators effect an ever growing genration of drivers. Pick a car at random on a motorway and just look for them. You will discover no Mondeo driver ever indicates either, or Passat or Golf or white van.
It isn't the car, its the drivers.
We have posts on here about the use of indicators and you will see replies from the "good drivers" saying they are so good at driving they know they are not required to indicate, which they feel somehow makes them better than all those other idiots on the road.0
