How is it going? Have you managed to figure out what helps and conflicts with your system for the keto diet? I did really well today and because I planned ahead I didn't struggle mentally at all. I really think if I have a whole days worth of meals ahead I don't even try and go off track!

One of the recipes I found calls for turnip. I put it in the online shop order for today and when I got home I discovered a turnip the size of an egg, wizened, soft and wrinkly. They take the mick sometimes. Why bother?!?! I wonder at the mental capacity of some of the people who pack in store. Who doesn't know what a turnip should look like? Who thinks that replacing my smoked salmon with a salmon fillet is comparable?!? :rotfl: ah the easy life of having your shopping delivered while you're at work. Guess there has to be some issues

I've just moved my foot on the bed and found my turnip. Forgot I left it here :rotfl:

I'm still working it out, but planning ahead really does help! No fruit definitely as the sugars knock me straight out of ketosis. Today I've had too much protein and not enough fat, so at dinner time I smothered my veg in butter.. Feels far too decadent to be a 'diet'!! Dad has gone back home now, and so that makes my slightly odd meals a bit easier as I don't have to cook for him too. The house is very quiet!

Bootcamp tonight was VERY HOT INDEED..


I'll do the accounts now, and will post results in a bit x

Scores on the doors for 1st July:

Total paid off CC1 is 62.8% :j
Total paid off all debt 16.4%

So I'm pretty pleased with that. I'm not scrimping as much as I could be.. But I do feel like I'm haemorrhaging £ out on school at the moment, £2 for this bus, £ 5 for a t shirt, £3 for that bus.. £ for school fete, £ for school performances etc etc etc Not to mention new school uniform for her new school. Gulp. Hopefully that will stop soon.

Drumroll please.... Today has been a NSD!! They hardly ever happen...

No OPs today, it's been a spendy week. But I have put some coppers and two £2 coins into Percy Pig. TFIF!! DD has two wks lefts at primary school so she's feeling a bit sensitive generally. I'm being patient and making (some) allowances. She is having a friend over tomorrow, and we're going into our nearest town to go shopping; we live in a little village so no shops. The plan is for me to sit in a coffee shop and read, and for DD + friend to go off mooching by themselves for ten minutes at a time. First time she's done this, but given that she's going to big school in September .... I thought it was a good idea when I planned it and now I'm not so sure !!

Bless DD. I remember leaving primary. I could not WAIT. But I was frightened to death of secondary. I am sure she will live up to your expectations. She's a big girl now... bless her!! *sheds a little tear*

Aww thanks Lilty I know she'll be ok really but she's my baby..

When I went to tuck her in tonight she was a bit teary, so I said that if she didn't want me to stay in the coffee shop that I'd go with them.. She soon perked up . I think she'll be braver tomorrow when her friend is there too xx
