    Hi Lucky,

Just popping in to say thanks - you've saved me a fiver - I normally buy magazines at the weekend but I've sat and read your diary instead :D

Well done on the house renovation - puts me to shame - I've been in a year and decorated nothing, need to get on it :)

Hope you hear about your mortgage this week,

    sellop

That is very kind thank you :] make sure you OP the fiver hehe :]

Thanks for the nice words as well things are easier when your not liveing there still hard all the same and stressful at times

    Frayed Knot Hi Lil
Me too, just caught up with your diary, loving the floors, windows and loft pics, keep them coming,

You're getting there very quickly so will be finished in no time, just before the clocks go back, then it'll be time to sit with your feet up, nice and cosy, with a nice glass of something in your hand. Perfect.

    Keep up the good work.

    Thanks FF :]

Ya this clocks go back idea is a poor choice i hate it lol

hopefully a glass of red yummy :]

    Update Time

    Attic is finished done :]

Well its took me 3 days working around 8-10 hours flat out to finish off all the plastering took me another 3 days to do the insulation and stud walls not bad really

Just need to let it dry now and paint it which wont take to long

Next is gloss the banister/stairs and 7 doors i hate glossing with a passion tho

i got 3 days free this week now so wish me luck if i have to work till late

    Update

Remortgage has gone thro and to my surprise it is now online as well (really happy)

New balance now is £67295 after paying the 2k fees on the old one to get out but

This new mortgage is £298 a month the old mort £442 Of which is 340 is interest at 6.4% on 65k

    my new deal will be
£298 of which £135 is interest at 2.4% on 67k

So more will be coming off the mortgage on the normal payments and i can overpay 10% a year if i can

what this means for my EF i like to have around 2 years of mortgage payments

So £7100 is 2 years payments which with my current EF leaves me at 10k more than i need
Of course i need to pay more than just the mortgage so the Ef will always stand at a min 10k

Anyway i could look at the account all day haha im off back to glossing anyone want to help me i hate glossing lol

Even the memory of the smell of gloss makes me feel queasy! :rotfl:
  • Great news on your new mortgage figures,:j how long is it for? you can always pay a lump at the end of the fixed to get it down, that's what I tried to do before starting my new mortgage in Sept.

As long as the prep work is done, I don't mind glossing, I'm one of those mad folk who find glossing and small jobs plastering, or even easyfilling(love that) so calming, but don't ask me to prep - hate it. You stay where? ........... Oh, that's a shame you stay too far away:D

  • Well done on the saving for your tumble dryer:j. I used the code too. Saved £37.55 I have pm'd you.

I bought my fridge freezer from the bay, one early am was just browsing and caught my eye - it was brand new
BIN price or "make an offer" £20.00 couldn't believe someone had actually made an offer - cheeky, well I bought it, when it was collected - the seller said they had meant to start the bidding at £20.00 - when I heard that, felt so sorry for them:o. But just shows there are honourable people out there. So there is bargains to be had.

I didn't o/p much in Sept as I used all resources to o/p August:( before I went into new deal, just wish I had thought of using my ef then, but only thought of it after my new deal went through.

Still listing on the bay - have lots to kondo, but it does take a lot of time. Strangely enough yesterday was the first day in the last few weeks I didn't sell any items. Hopefully will get better - next week is pay day for a lot of folk.

How long to you move in, must be very soon now. How exciting.:j
