I think this is the difference between men and women. From my own opinion, women don't watch as much !!!!!! as men as we prefer something with more emotion and storyline. Im not interested in watching !!!!!! but ill happily read a story with good sex in it or watch a 18 movie about it. I think you should go watch 50 shades of grey as watching !!!!!! with you might not be up her street but this may be a good place to start! I think it is also seen as a girls book/movie as it has a heroine for the lead. If it was a guy as the main lead then I think people would see it more hetro-sexual.

Have you watched Don- Jon? I see it as no difference to watching that.
  • Take her to see some decent !!!!!! instead. And buy her Middlemarch for her birthday. She really has rubbish taste in books.

I know, all I keep seeing and hearing about is "fifty shades of grey" i can't walk past a bus stop without seeing a poster advertising it, or hearing about online or on t.v.

If you've already 'shown her your intent' (not heard it called that before) then perhaps she just wants to spice it up even further. Or she just wants company. Either way, you have two choices, go and have a good (possibly great) time in that darkened cinema, or don't go and wonder why she dumps you for a more open and adventurous guy...

Are you telling me that you would watch it in a movie theatre surrounded by other people?

That's the usual idea with films, I believe.....smiley-rolleyes010.gif

If you don't want to go, say 'no'.
  • Its probably just cause its been so hyped up. Its marketed around the whole valentines thing. Couples and romance and all that so if you are a new boyfriend then its just all part of the honeymoon stage I guess. You going with her shows her that you are "going steady".
Its just fantasy though and seems to get a lot of women hot under the collar.

Personally I've been single nine years and I'm far more excited about planting my herb garden and salads today :j
I'd probably bash the living daylights out of someone who tried tying me up and spanking my backside. I was never big on people having control over me though :D. I'm not one for doing as I'm told ;)

I mean i'm all for watching !!!!!! with a girl, but i don't even like romantic comedies and this is far from one of those.

It's aimed at women, though, no? I thought it's women who bought the book, so why would it appeal to guys? I would rather just do that kind of thing with a girl if she really is insistent on trying it, but watching a film about it...why? With !!!!!!, at least you can get some ideas from it...
So you won't go and see a sexy* movie with your girlfriend that is "aimed at women", but you want her to watch and "get ideas" from !!!!!! (cringe!) that, generally speaking, is aimed at men and tends to leave a lot of women turned off.

    Lucky girl.

    * Opinions will vary, but obviously this girl thinks it sounds "sexy".
