I switched to GB without any problems at all, gave them my meter reading....all fine, still waiting for my previous supplier to give me a refund.
One thing I am not clear about is, 'Do you get a monthly bill'? if anyone knows can they let me know, otherwise no problems at all.0 -
Ok latest update ....
Email arrived this morning as expected, reminding us to submit the meter reading today as outlined in welcome letter.
Went to website and logged in no problem, entered the reading which was accepted without any fuss and confirmed it was received.
Logged out and logged back in again and the meter reading was showing on the account as being read today and correct reading showing.
As it stands can't fault them yet :cool:It's not just about the money0 -
First bill received today - we'd already submitted meter readings online without problem and the move of elec and gas from NPower went smoothly too.
The bill looks ok and is clear and easy to understand - just 2 pages instead of all the waffle that NPower had.
I really can't fault these guys so far. I hope they remain the cheapest for a long time and then I won't have to move!0 -
Switch seemed to go OK. I could enter my elec reading but not gas. Complained to cust service a few times. They kept blaming web site being upgraded. I explain that reading will be kept in a database and not on the site, besides elec works -why not gas? Eventually emailed MD and suddenly the facility appeared. Not sure what their starting values were though (I know what I gave them). Their web site is so far very primitive. It shows my last meter reading but nothing before that. It does not show energy usage, payments or anything like that. It does list my details, but not my tariff or tariff details. This is not like First Utility or E.on or nPower or OVO, all of whom show excellent information.
I've not had my first bill from GB yet after 3 months. How does it arrive? email, through the post or web site?0 -

I've had a terrible time with GB energy. I signed up to them at the beginning of June and the direct debit began later that month- it's now September and I still haven't received any gas from them! The electricity transfer went ahead fine but for some reason they have had difficulties swapping my gas over from EDF- this might be understandable but their customer service has been infuriatingly terrible- endless unanswered emails, minimum of half hour waits on the phone to speak to someone who can't help and promises to get someone else to call you... This never happens. The worst part is they don't seem to ever try and fix it themselves- unless I consistently pester them they make no attempt to rectify the situation themselves. I have now been paying both EDF and GB for my gas since June. I would like to just get my money back from GB and start again elsewhere but having absolutely no luck getting through to them at the moment. Can I make a complaint somewhere? Any advice much appreciated0

Transfered from Spark to GB Energy on 22/8 . Supplied final meter readings to both. GB Energy have been good so far, web site no problems to input meter readings. They inform me that it would be benefitial if I supply meter readings monthly - no hassle. They will also issue statement/bill monthly , so I can keep eye on account. So far , so good. There seems to be a black hole between them and Spark regarding passing on info on last readings though. Spark now have gas reading but not elec. Am amased in todays electronic age that companies still hide behind the old 28 days line - should be 5 days max.0

We joined GB Energy a few months ago, it's going OK so far. The switch from First Utility was quick, they kept us updated by e-mail and we got a welcome pack in the post. I got a reminder email and submitted the readings on their website. It came up with an error, so i had to ring and give the readings over the phone - they assured me the error was just because it was our first reading. I got out first bill today, they're cheaper than our previous supplier, and we're happy with everything so far. Watch this space. ..0

Started the switching process - reading this thread there's been a gradual improvement in people's experiences. So far so good - immediate email with the link to "reset" the password and I've been able to log in no problem. I'll miss the facilities of the first:utility site but I can always use excel to do my own graphs...0
