Can I have a moan about rude & unreasonable buyers please ?

Buyer from USA bought a made-to-order item on 1st March from my Etsy shop. I despatched on 3rd March, and have received the following today from her :

"how much longer is it going to take for this to get here?"

No greeting or sign off, just that one line *sigh*

Just a few that spring to mind...

I had some guy neg me because I didn't send him the item. ebay removed it once I explained to them that he never paid..

    !

If you had done an NPB then buyer would have been automatically blocked from leaving any feedback at all.

I actually had to block US buyers on my eBay shop before Christmas as I was finding it increasingly difficult to meet their almost impossible expectation of delivery times.

I'm usually pretty lucky with my buyers who, for the most part have a very reasonable expectation of delivery times. Sometimes though it just takes my breath away at the sheer ignorance of buyers. That buyer must have:

    1. not realised I'm based in the UK
    2. ignored the fact that I despatched on 3rd, and it is only now 7th March. I suspect that's tight timelines even for intra-continental post
    3. Ignored basic manners & general civility to have drafted such a delightful missive

Apologies, but that really got on my nerves today !

I just had a complaint in Italian. It took me twenty minutes to decipher that the message was complaining that they had paid for upgraded shipping and the item hadn't arrived fast enough. So I went to check as I don't have any additional speed for overseas post, and found the buyer had only paid standard post.
Luckily Google Translate didn't have a term for "do one, you Muppet", so I just apologised and refunded.

just had a numpty bid on a £120 item.....and one minute before the auction ends they ask me to remove the bid. they didn't read the description. obviously time ran out so I sent a cancel transaction. what are the chances she'll leave a neg....
if a buyer wants to end transaction they shouldn't be allowed to leave feedback.
on top of this I have had to open 2 unpaid cases. why on earth do we have to wait 4 days before closing the case. 24hours is long enough to give the buyer a chance to pay.
3 non payer in one week.
    moan over

Firstly I should say that I rarely ever get any questions- possibly as few as 1 or 2 a month. This weekend though I've had three- all daft ones.

Yesterday at about 1pm I got the following on an item that is sub £7 including 2nd class (73p) postage, in line with TRS requirements I have special delivery as an option at an additional £6.40.

"I need this xx for monday and want it sent guaranteed delivery but your charging to much- hows about you meet me half way and I'll pay another £2 towards special and you post it today? I'm ready to pay now '

Yeah right, I sent a polite sorry and blocked them, just in case

Second one was on an item with a decorated edge- all mentioned in listing and photographed carefully , apparently they liked the item but wondered what that funny wavy stuff was round the edge ! (I blocked that one as well, 44 feedback received and not a single bit left- which I find odd)

Third one was on an item I sell in multiples of 3, the title title states 3, the description states 3, the quantity states 3 and the photo shows 3

'How many do I get ?'

I responded stating 3 as per the listing and got back 'need to change your listing m8, it's confusing- just saying'

It's not my weekend. Just got an INR for a pair of earrings bought & despatched on 3rd February.

Who waits a month to receive a pair of earrings ? Call me cynical, but I bet one of the pair has got lost & an INR is an easy way to get either another pair sent out or the cost of a now singleton earring refunded.....

My favourite is the last one. I wish |I could have the self-assurance of some of these buyers !

OK, who's broken ebay- or have they hidden all my listings again?

Not a single solitary sale since 7am this morning.
