I get ds2 back tonight, it's seemed really strange here without him! Resisting the urge to meet him off the bus as that will totally blow his cool rating LOL!
Got about 6ft of edging knitted so am half way there, also started a few words on the cross stitch I'm doing as a retirement pressie for a head teacher.thats needed by June so a little while to do that.
Going to have a good S&S round this morning to catch up on what I've missed, I've not been posting lists as I can't work out how to do that on the iPad.

Hello flylady friends. I hope you are all well. I haven't had time to read this week as I have been really busy avoiding doing any prep whatsoever for my interviews :o. Practicing self sabotage again.
However, today I set my alarm for 30 minutes and hovered the lounge and dining room (which took ages!) and cleaned the windows and mopped the floor in the kitchen. I tidied the dog toys away and am now having a cuddle with them while I drink my coffee. Then I am going to prepare a presentation. It's only a 5-10 minute presentation so it shouldn't take too long in theory!

    I know it's not a flying post but I couldn't resist;)

Interesting I consider the head the ugliest end because it keeps croaking at you so that you know it is there ;) Once it's head is gone all it can do is hop randomly :p

Anyhow I have just about eaten the whole thing now, funny how you get the taste for them once you start.

Mum being released from hospital later. Sis has spoken to the support nurse and she has said tough love she should be doing 90% of normal stuff and eating so she needs only minimal support.

WM1 on the line so going to get WM2 on the maidens as the sky is dark.

Cat flap is stuck open. Kitchen floor is now littered with leaves, it is not windy the kittens just feel the need to collect one and bring it in every time they go out.

No flying today. Grandson stops play. However, I have managed to vacuum upstairs and downstairs. Anything else will be an extra.

I've turned out a couple of drawers, trying this Kondo thing. Then I stacked them as they used to be. Kondoing is absolutely not for me, and interestingly, it seems to be about fitting more into storage space, despite saying it's about letting stuff go.

I'm always suspicious about decluttering systems that seem to encourage people to buy anything to make it work - like the book.
    Better is good enough.
  • managed to hoover and mop all of downstairs last night against the odds so feeling fairly chuffed. Off to do a bit more now.

Honey Bear - I have been Kondoing and really I do think people aren't really following it properly, and yes I agree, trying to keep the same amount of stuff, just storing it differently. It doesn't really work just doing drawers at a time - you have to do a whole category at a time - all your tops, all your dresses, all your underwear etc ditch a tonne of it, and only then once you've chucked and chucked and chucked, work out how you want to arrange it - which might be in completely different places to where it started off. I do quite like my stuff folded Kondo style as I can see everything at a glance - which also makes it really easy to see where I've too much/sufficient stuff. I really haven't bought anything since I've started as I have enough of everything already which is a fabulous side effect!
  • It stinks here! At certain times of the year if the winds in the wrong direction the muck that is spread on the farm fields wafts over the town. The kids were all wandering round the playground with scarves pulled up over their faces gangster style to try and keep the smell away, a few were blaming each other till I told them about muck spreading. I think I've now put them all off vegetables! Windows are fIrmly shut.
Going to make a veggie lasagne for tea and a welcome home cake for DS2

Glad your mum is coming home dusty, I hope she reminds well and copes with being back home and that her appetite returns. Are you working a rota with your sister so you are both involved I think you need one or you will end up doing more than your share! Hugs.

Well busy day here. Swimming with ds 2. Then had a meeting to work with ds2 in tow. He sat in the corner with the iPad. Bless him, he was really good! That's what needs to happen when you plan a meeting for my day off!
Got home and did an hour of ironing. As least now it all fits in the basket! Lol! Then made lunch for the three of us. After that I made a banana loaf from the browning bananas and then washed up and cleared and wiped the sides down.

Going to finish the bits from Thursday's list now. Starting with decluttering and hoovering stairs and landing! Enjoy the rest of your Friday!
