Main bedroom half done yesterday, as I didn't feel great. Feeling slightly better today.
I have also put away the shopping delivery, tracked down a website I was looking for, and packed parcels for DS1.
Leaving in about half an hour to meet dept and colleague who retired last July, we're having tea. The weather does not look encouraging - rain and wind.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Aww elastic, that is lovely, hope your DH has a lovely birthday and you both have a very special valentines weekend.SPC~12 ot 124

Been out for a cuppa and scones with some friends. Weather is dire here now. I'm feeling grimmer by the minute with my cold. Just rang Mum to see if she was ready to be collected. She has no idea of what time it will be and the motorway is already backing up my end with Friday night traffic, it's going to be a long few hours.
Elastic that is a lovely surprise, I share my birthday with your husband, people say oh how lovely it is on Valentine's day, tosh, flowers are expensive and red/pink, restaurants are heaving and have loved up menus.
Going to see if I can remember how to cast on knitting, not done any for ages. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Elastic, that is just lovely. Mr Elastic has made me smile, too.
Mr H Bear and I have just discussed our Valentine's wants and wishes. Normally I fret about the card and write it late because I don't know how to say what I feel, and this year I decided to put it in my diary a few weeks ahead to make me do it early. I finally did it a couple of days ago, rather haphazardly as usual, and he's has literally just said, 'Are we going to do cards this year? How about I take you out to breakfast at Wevverspoons instead?' That's about as self-serving as he can get, because he's arranged to have a meeting there at 11.00 am and will then go straight on to watch the rugby else-pub, but as making him a bacon and egg sandwich served in bed is normally my responsibility on a Saturday, it's pretty cool, actually. So I've told him he can have the card next year and I'm happy with the arrangements he's suggesting. I think what passes for 'romantic' for one couple might, very often, look seriously odd to another, but it means I get pretty much the whole day to myself to play with crafty things without interruption. Perfect. (I've just made about 10m of bias binding, so I'm feeling rather chuffed with myself.)Better is good enough.0 -
Dusty just to warn you when we picked up mil after her op, it took ages, she wasn't dressed when we got there and the meds hadn't been sorted so it took us about an hour to get her ready and processed and that was AFTER we'd been rung and told she was ready to pick up!!!!!SPC~12 ot 124

Elastic that's lovely! I also had a bouquet delivered today, mixed roses and carnations, with gypsophila. We tend to be dotting about doing errands on a Saturday, so Mr LW asked for them to deliver it today.:D
Hoppy Birdday for tomorrow for Mr E and also for Dusty.
As far as the Wolf's Lair goes - Button has just arrived for a week's holiday - first thing she did was to "make use" of the back garden.:D So everything will be revolving around her needs for the next week.;)
I also have to get a photo done with her, for her "holiday snap" - we may invite Mr LW's pal round; if so we'll get him to take one of her with us both.
Ooh yes, regarding cards - I got my die-cutting machine out and made one for Mr LW; it solves a big problem, as I can't get out to the shops alone, and also I can never find exactly what I want (unless I want to take out a mortgage to buy it).If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Happy birthday for tomorrow dusty, I hope you have a lovely day and are looked after and pampered properly. You deserve it.

Evening all. Happy birthday for tomorrow Dusty.
Lovely hearing all the Valentine's stories. DDs BF has whisked her off for a surprise weekend away. DH and I agreed we won't bother. Never have. We get treats for each other at other times, but even on the first Valentines we had together our wedding was already planned so the day has never meant anything.
Please please lets hope the rain goes away so I can get out on my bike tomorrow and get out in the garden.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Happy birthday for tomorrow Dusty x
Glad it's the weekend / school hols. Feel completely burnt out tonight. Not that there's much rest in the plan! But the littlies are having a double sleepover Sun / Mon night so I can work, and not worry about pickup times etc.
Kids party (again) tomorrow. Other than that we are chilling out.
Did my room today and DS had a tidy in his room, only did a little in DDs as she will get it all out again in the morning <rollseyes>
