Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!
Thank you to Natty for last week's thread
THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, YOU ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.
There are 3 levels per day deepening on how much time you have. Feel free to mix and match to suit your own personal circumstances.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do today and every day stuff like laundry, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie/binbag dance - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!
5GC five minutes gardening.. make it lovely for your family and enjoy it!
Any more questions I bet are answered in the wonderful welcome guide which was produced by our much loved Toots

Hugs good wishes, posi vibes sticks and spoons for all who need them.
Thank you for the lists dusty and last weeks natty, I'll be young to follow them this week rather than going solo.
Dusty re family history, I found DH grandfather and great uncle had both been in the local industrial school. I only found great uncle had been there when reading about the school and seeing a list of 'old boys' names on a war memorial in the school grounds in the paperwork, I went down to our local records office and they had the most incredible information I got a photocoy of the admissions page and magistrate report as well as a birth certificate and the school head kept a journal on all the old boys so I got all the info where he went after leaving and some interesting details and descriptions on his life. He was put in by magistrate for sleeping rough in someone's outhouse and being little more than a street urchin! I didn't get as much on The great grandfather but I did get a copy of his admissions page from the industrial school and later medal card from Kew but his war records were burned in the fire at Kew, if your relays live local to the area you are I now it's definately worth trying your records office. You need to take photo ID and can get a day pass free but have to pay for copying at ours.

Thank you to Dusty for this week's list and Natty for last week's.
I managed to get out in the garden for an hour yesterday and clear all the leaves off the lawn and quite a lot off the borders, and the sun came out as I was working. I discovered lots of bulbs coming up and snowdrops already in flowerIt turned into a beautiful afternoon, so DH and I went for a walk up one of our favourite hills. The National Trust has worked hard to declutter a lot of trees which had grown up around the edge and obscured the view, and now you can see for miles again - absolutely beautiful!
I won't bore you with my list for this week; suffice it to say that (to my shame) I have listed some things on the thread several times before and not completed them yetWill list my achievements later, if any!
I must not forget to go to the dentist at 2.55 (only a check-up). On the plus side, it's Old Wives' Group tonight
Hope everyone has a good day x0 -

Thanks for the new thread Dusty.
Standard week coming up. Nothing special to be added. I 'be been invited out to lunch for a good friends birthday but don't finish my pad work until 2 so that's a missed opportunity.
DH started painting the study/DS3's bedroom. Everyone got involved and everyone got covered with paint. Nobody wore protective/old clothes. I'm not impressed.
I hope everyone has a successful day.0 -
Hoovering done quickly through. About to walk the dogs but need to sort some urgent paid stuff.Spend less now, work less later.0

Morning all
Should not have stayed up so late as brain was too awake to sleep well. However, I feel all excited and inspired.
Mrs MP - this line of the family, my paternal Grandmothers all appear to be from a tiny area in Bedfordshire, often involved with living in the vicarages, some of this I knew and we did visit the hamlet when I first started FH but did not have many details then. I shall be planning a lovely walk around the area (maybe next weekend for my Bday if the weather is fair) and I shall visit the llibrary and records office there too, about an hour away so I'd need to get all my notes in order which they are not.
So much to do so having breakfast and then making a start. Know idea what is happening with Mum yet but not visiting until much later would help me get a bit back on track. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
