I'm a bit jealous Jazee
DD woke me at 3.45
Tucked her back in but then I couldn't get back to sleep:( then DS was up not long after 6, despite me telling him 8 was more acceptable (he has his little clock you see).
Anyway, they have a breakfast tray in DD room and I'm back in bed
They are playing happily and singing "jingle bells" at the mo :rotfl:
So I'll stay put as long as possibleBossymoo

Freezer inventory & meal plan done, right up to 12 March, we have so much food to use up. I want to use one of my freezers for veg when I have successfully grown it this year, haha....
Just having breakfast which apparently I'm supposed to share with LittleyDog if her pleading eyes are anything to go by.

Happy birthday Dusty and Mr Elastic.
Happy Valentines Day for everyone, quite or celebratory.
Julie Jim I hope things have improved since you posted a few days ago when things sounded really grim.
I can't remember whose cattle successfully passed their TB testing, but I was pleased for you just the same. It must have been a huge relief.
I think I might flash the syDon around the place; it's pretty much okay at the moment.Better is good enough.0 -

Quiet day for me I think, not feeling very well and didn't have a very good night. Really hope I'm better tomorrow, as DS2 coming back from uni this week, and I don't want to give him any horrid germs!
Hope everyone has a lovely day whatever they are doing! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Dogs are walked, just having a cuppa before doing village shop. Still feeling really chilled out.

Had a lie in thus morning with breakfast in bed at 9am. I never sleep in until that time but we had a late night, ds1 fell out of bed and ds2 woke up saying he felt sick! (Not like him).
So hubby got up with ds2 this morning. Bless him.
We have had a chilled out morning. I'm the only one dressed. Ds1 still feeling poorly and not had any breakfast. He is supposed to be having a sleep over at Nannys tonight but if he is like this he won't be going. He is really upset.
So jobs for the day.

Mrs Dog walked x 2, Valentines breakfast had.
My litter campaign has borne serious fruit. Saturday mornings are usually the worst with takeaway detritus and drinks bottles and cans from Friday night. This morning - nothing. Absolutely zilch. And as it was sunny, I grabbed the dog and a carrier bag and took her for a second walk, fed the wagtail, blackbirds and robin again and cleared the last part of 'my' area. It's all done now, and it really is true - once the litter is cleared far less is dropped. I've also calculated that if I've been picking up six pieces a day, by the end of February I would have picked up 365 pieces or if I pick up four pieces a day, by the end of March I would have achieved the original goal. As I haven't kept a tally I can't guarantee it by the end of February, but today digging around in the undergrowth to get the last pesky bits out I know I reached it. Anything I do from now on is a real bonus, so I'll see if I can keep this area as pristine as it is now.
Weird, in only six weeks to have such a clean local area. In total, I've gone out three times with a carrier bag to clear a particular zone, which each time has been less than 15 minutes. Other than that I haven't had to step one foot out of the way on Mrs Dog's walks. If I'd known how little effort it took I'd have done this years ago.
Thank you so much Mrs Moneypenny and Dusty for encouraging me in the first place - it felt like someone was cheering me on every time I picked something up. (I've also scored a pair of thermal gloves in the process. Bonus!)Better is good enough.0 -
HB I thought of you the other day when I picked up a can which had been dropped in the village (which is normally quite tidy).
Village shop done on my bike for the first time in months. It is so much harder work than the exercise bike and I live in a really flat area.
Just having lunch, bargain Scotch egg with noodles, probably not to everyone's taste, but I'm enjoying it. I'm then going to read the paper, do some puzzles, wash up and take the dogs for another walk. Will hopefully spend some time in the garden when I get back.
Its good to have a plan even if I don't keep to it.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Well, my young man is still not right. Still in his pjs and still on the sofa.
It has meant that we gave been home all day so been pottering! Hubby even did half an hour of ironing without being asked!
I wouldn't mind if we had visitors kicking at the door as house feels quite respectable!
It's seems we only have unexpected visitors when my youngest had no clothes on and the house is a tip!
Anyway, update...
Wm X 1 more to go!
