Thanks for the get well wishes for my little man. I tried him with a small portion of dinner. Took one bite and said he couldn't eat it! Normally he eats anything and everything- quite a gannet! So we know he's not right! He went to bed at 6pm! Bless him!
The snowdrops look beautiful!
All jobs done today. OH did some more ironing this afternoon and we had a nice meal and watched a chick flick.
Heading to bed now.

I was here today
Looks lovely. Our nearest snowdrop heaven is http://www.beningtonlordship.co.uk/snowdrops.shtml here. How do you do that Valli, get the url to disappear behind the "here"? Half planned to go today, but went to gravel pit lake to watch the birdies instead. Cleared out some stuff from the stables on the way home; brother is staying so helped brush and hose rubber mats (yes sounds a bit Shades of Grey but they come from the stable floor honest!). He and SIL are going to take them home to their place tomorrow.
Had lovely surprise of some home made coconut chocolate macaroons for Valentine's; Mr N made them while I was at work on Thursday.
Bit of tidying and polishing, and lots of food preparation as friends round for dinner this eve.
Dusty hope you had a lovely birthday.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Morning All
Well I got up at 5.30 and washed about a week's worth of dishes I think!
I've since been browsing the web then I'm going to do some filing in a min.
Have a good day all

Morning all.
Valli and Ionafan - aren't snowdrops just lovely - I get to walk amongst the snowdrops each morning at the moment on the route I take in the village with the dogs - always want to break into song -eidelweiss (sp) but someone would cart me away.
We are having Christmas dinner today! Right down to sausages in bacon.
Anyway, other than prepping that, the day will consist of gym, bath, two dog walks, and hoover and mop through house. If there is time, I will do the shredding I didn't get to in the week (bin collection is tomorrow) and maybe take a look at the lists.
Frizzle - hope little one is better today
Bossy - I freeze pancakes with a layer of baking roll in between.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all
My cold is not quite as bad today so I hope to be a bit more productive.
Narco, I went to the lordship a few years ago for my birthday, very pretty. A friend gave me 3 pots of snowdrops for my birthday which I shall pop into a pot to enjoy for now before planting out. Type here, highlight it, click the icon above this box with a world and tape reel, paste the url (I clear the box first) and hit done.
Just finished my second cuppa in bed chatting with DS2 who is snowed under with uni work.
Time to sort the washing and have a shower. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Have had a really busy but nice few days. So today will just have a quick tidy and S&S of the rooms ready to start the new week.
Hugs, spoons and sticks where needed.0 -

I type the word 'here' then copy the url (in another window), come back to my post in edit mode, highlight 'here' then click on the little world-and-chain icon above the edit window, then just paste the link in. Ignore the http that's already in the window. HTH
Pleased I'm not the only snowdrop fan. I managed, after much effort and failed attempts, to get a bunch to grow in my garden.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hello again. Gym done, full hour. Also I have hoovered through the house and turkey is cooked. Just realised that I can't mop the floors as I broke the mop mid week and getting a new one would just be frivolous. So I'm going to have to get down on hands and knees, must remember to watch my fingers under furniture and appliances.
Have also discovered that DH has got oily stains on our bedroom carpet and rug changing the door handle this week so I need to tackle that. Mr DIY he is not....
Bath next then probably an early lunch and then a long dog walk.Spend less now, work less later.0
