Excellent work with your challenge!
At least you can relax afterwards.
Glad Airbnb is working out, too.I wouldn't mind doing something like that but I don't think we're really suited to it between all the pets, our location, etc. Might suggest it to DH once the house projects are done, though.

Two weeks solid on airbnb? Thats brilliant! Possibly a bit difficult with lack of privacy, but a surefire way of building up to a nice big OP!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi lovely peeps,
Yep KC two weeks solid, and we have just had a booking for the following weekend too once our current chap has left. Result! To be honest the guy staying with us at present is such a great guest its not a problem at all with privacy. DS did have a full on temper tantrum last night in his presence though, I hope it didn't put him off!
I have a lovely bottle of fizz that I received for my birthday which will be drunk on Saturday night to celebrate completion of the challenge.
Kaiser - that's great news! I will follow with interest. Hiddenshadow - I didn't think anyone would want to stay with us, we are fairly chaotic, but it appears so! You've got nothing to lose and a lot to gain.
I am also going to *allow* myself to spend some of my money on extra nursery sessions for DS over the next few weeks. He goes two days a week - at present he is so so grumpy, tantrummy, not sleeping etc I wish I could send him full time. Just typing that makes me feel like a bad mummybut honestly if you could hear the screaming, witness the grumpy tantrums etc you would agree with me. I need to get over the guilt and accept some children are just harder to handle than others (DD is a quiet little angel and always has been). It doesn't make me a bad parent.... does it?X

That's true - definitely worth a look once our house is not completely messy and not-finished-DIY-y.Just typing that makes me feel like a bad mummybut honestly if you could hear the screaming, witness the grumpy tantrums etc you would agree with me. It doesn't mean you love him any less. Nursery staff can give him more focus as that's their job (vs you trying to juggle your own work as well). Perhaps a change of scenery will settle him at night as well, which would be helpful for all of you.0 -
thanks Hiddenshadow xxMFW

Wow - seems like just yesterday you were only just considering starting airbnb and now look at you! :T How much will you have made in your first month from bookings?
I don't think you're a bad mummy for wanting to send DS to nursery. If he's going through a tough time then maybe it is better that he is in a place that keeps him busy. I know full time is expensive though...£1000 a month isn't it? Maybe it could be considered a temporary arrangement for a few months until he settles down a bit and gets past this stage?Mortgage - £105,5000 -
Of course you're not a bad mummy! A little bit of a change, i.e. a little bit extra nursery, might be just what he needs himself.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Good morning friends,
Thank you so much for your kind words. I wont actually send him full time as the cost would cripple us (its £41 a day here PrincessLou) but I wish I could at times.
KC - You are quite right. I think I will send him three days a week for the rest of the year and see how we get on.
I have just made a £500 OP and updated my signature accordingly. Small spends to be had today as I must get DD a new winter coat, hers is far too small even though its age 4 and she is 3! Both children are shooting up like weeds!
Have lovely days all, and thank you for your kindness it means the world xxMFW
