Hi jimlad, we will have had ten nights in total by the end of three month. All great for the OP pot!
Very very tired today. DS got up at 4.45 and wouldn't consider going back to bed, screaming as soon as I left the room, so we got up. Lots of tea drunk and postman pat watched. I normally love cleaning & tidying but today this place is like stig of the dumps house and I don't care :pxxMFW

Hi friends,
I hope everyone is well. Warning - moaning post coming up. Both my kids have been excellent sleepers for a long time now. DS however has recently gone in a toddler bed, no issue at all for the first month or so. he had outgrown his cot so needed a bed. For the last 4 nights he has been up at around 4am, coming out of his room and refusing to go back to his own bed. He is a very VERY vocal boy and screams the house down when I try to put him back in his bed - yesterday it woke poor DD up who is tired enough from school nursery (thank the gods its now half term!)
So he is ending up in our bed. This morning he did go back to sleep but other days he hasn't and we end up downstairs by 5am. He's grumpy and I'm exhausted. I haven't even got the energy to check the finances which is most unlike me!
I am so far behind with work due to tiredness I've had to send him to nursery for an extra day today, cue massive mummy-guilt. Bah.
I feel better for writing it down at least. Off for another cuppa and to count my blessings, I really don't manage well on crap sleep xMFW

Good morning friends,
We had a much better nights sleep here thank goodness. I have just paid an OP of £243.56 (brought the current account to a nice round number) and updated my signature accordingly. We are just under £2k from our hairbrained challenge.
DH should be able to take a dividend of £1k next week, and I hope to earn around £500 next week. That, coupled with the £100 we will earn from Airbnb next week, should get us very very close. Once this mini challenge is finished I am looking forward to building up the savings pot again in readiness for the 2016 madness challenge of bringing the mortgage down to 5 figures!
DH is on a stag do todayalready budgeted for, but I'm not keen on the idea of him in a big group of lads out drinking - we are very different, the idea of going round town drinking fills me with dread, I'd rather have wine at home in my pjs any day!
Have lovely weekends all xxx:):):)MFW

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Hi guys,
How is everyone today? Today is a peaceful day – working from home, and both kids are at Grandmas. Still not much sleep being had but I’m keeping on keeping on!
Air BnB is working very well for us, we are booked up for the next 2 weeks solid which is fabulous for the finances.
We are also on track to meet our challenge by the end of the week which is excellent news! My work has picked up a lot in the past few days, and DH is on track to take a £1k dividend which will go straight onto the mortgage. We are literally throwing everything we have at it, which will leave us with very little left but I’m looking forward to not having a challenge going on for a few weeks and just steadily rebuilding the savings pot with a view to making a big OP in January when the new 10% allowance kicks in. I am proud of how well we have risen to the challenge, but a bit drained also.
Right, off to do some more of the paid stuff, take care all xxMFW
