Hes not allowed to speed or tailgate either but he was doing it - why not just go 3 for 3?
I know hes not allowed in the third lane - read my previous posts, I acknowledge that.
So he wont slow down, he wont go into the third lane, if I slow he will more than likely end up in the back of me and there is no space on the inside lane for me yet your reply is slow down... its like talking to a child.
You might suggest what you like, but might I suggest you put your suggestion where the sun doesnt shine. Unless you were there your opinions count for jack. Call my driving try and take the moral high ground in your glass house but I can assure you I was put in a situation which either involved me carrying on speeding until there was a spot on the inside or to just relent and do something wrong for a 30 seconds rather than carry on for however long.
We are never going to agree but as you were not there your a fool for making opinions on something you know nothing about. You have already shown your not the know it all you like to think you are.
This thread is going nowhere, im no doubt annoying you and you are definitely annoying me so lets just end it.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Yes, it is. You are being childish about this whole incident - because you know you were in the wrong. You should not have been in lane 2, and you should not have been speeding. You are using the justification of the lorry as an excuse for your bad driving, in the same way a child says it wasn't his fault that he had to take a biscuit or hit his sister, she started it.
You are, by your own statements, a lousy driver. If you can't deal with traffic and drive appropriately, stay off the roads.
And, with respect, I hope you do get a speeding fine and points for it - it might teach you a lesson.
I've had a clean licence since 1991, despite driving in excess of 45,000 miles a year for business and pleasure.
You do the math.0 -
No im not, I class myself as a pretty good driver. Just a situation caused by a bad driver.
Why should I not have been in lane 2? Who are you to say which lane I should be in? I was going 70 and overtaking. Speed limit reduction signs so I was slowing down (prior to the limit coming in to play).
As I said, I know I was in the wrong (although only because of someone elses actions). I had no intention of speeding or need to.
I know you do because you appear to be a nasty piece of work where your either right or your wrong and have put your nose in to somewhere it was not needed.
Fantastic. It doesnt mean your a good driver. My license is also clean, but by your accounts im a lousy driver so why are you a good driver with a clean license where as im not? A 1 off mistake does not make me bad at something. I seem to recall rooney missing a sitter, doesnt make him a bad footballer.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Why should I not have been in lane 2?
Because you should keep to the left at all times, unless overtaking. You were not overtaking when you were in Lane 2, in fact you were going slower, or at least trying to, than vehicles in Lane 2 behind you. Therefore you should have been in lane 1.Who are you to say which lane I should be in?
I'm not - the Highway Code says so.I know you do because you appear to be a nasty piece of work where your either right or your wrong and have put your nose in to somewhere it was not needed.

He was trying to harrass you into either pulling over or go faster. You could have reported him to the police, assuming you have a hands free phone of course. The sensible (and legal) option would have been to have moved to lane one and let him pass.
If he had rear ended you, this is the biggest nightmare for a foriegn lorry driver on the grounds that the police will always hold them until the paperwork is sorted. This can take 48 hours or more.0 -
Your reading what you want to read - this will never end.
But lets just check one more thing before I hang up my cap, according to you I am completely in the wrong. So im taking from that speeding and tailgating is perfectly fine in your world?I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. No.
You were entirely in the wrong, and ought to have been in Lane 1. He was entirely in the wrong, and ought to have been doing 40MPH if that was the posted speed.
Two wrongs etc... Don't insist on your legal rites. Unless you want to end up looking like him -> :A0
