Average speed cameras...

I wont go into the details (lorry up my backside) and was about 10-12mph over the average speed between 2 cameras.
By the third I had managed to slow down.
Just wondering if this is likely to be a fine/points/speed awareness course?
It was coming off the M6 on to the M5.

You were being pushed by the lorry ?0

Lets not be pedantic. Obviously he wasnt pushing me but barely more than a pack of cards between us (maybe an exaggeration but he was very very close). If I had slowed down slightly unless he had the reactions of spiderman he would have been in the back of me.
Im not trying to get out of it or moaning about it, it is what it is.
Im just trying to find out if the average check is from start to finish or between every set of cameras and if it is every set of cameras what the outcome will be.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Do those cameras photograph front of car? sounds as though the back was obscured.I am not a cat (But my friend is)0

The back without doubt would have been obscured, but they were facing the front of the car.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. It depends entirely on which cameras were active.
Even between two active cameras, you can average 55mph on GPS and you won't get a ticket.
I always do 54-55 on my cruise control through these - GPS 51-52 - with occasional speed upto pass some vehicles. Never had an issue.0 -
I would have been over that. Closer to 60mph if not more between the first 2.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Weren't you able to move away from the lorry?
I always understood average speed cameras to be between each set of 2, but on thinking about this, this could potentially get you 3-4 sets of 'fines', if you were slightly over between each set.
Hopefully you'll be ok

I was in the middle lane, cars to my left. In the end I had to go to the outside lane, let him carry on and then move back in and slow down. Foreign plates so I assume not too fussed about the cameras.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. what time was it? was it dark?
unless they have changed in the last couple of years, they do not work in the dark as they see from the front and headlights blind them.
I used to drive M6/M5 route every weekend and on occasion went faster than 'the limit' never had any problems0 -
