Morgan Stanley CC 3% cashback NOT BEING HONOURED

I've just checked my MS Platinum statement for Sept- it specifically states on the back of the statement in the box "No annual fee". Can anyone who's been clobbered please advise when the fee is due- is it the anniversary of the card?
I was going to bale out anyway as soon as I've got to £30 cashback- up to £25.47 so far- and my anniversary is 12th Nov. Do I need to grab my £15 now?Won Mulberry Bag Jan 090 -
Evo, the deal was triple their standard cashback rate until a certain month (depending on when you signed up, usually around 3 months from start up.)
So that's 3 x 1% up to £2000 then 3 x 0.5% on anything over that.
So £60 for the first 2k, then 1.5% of whatever you spent over that until your Sept statment.
Don't take any crap about their systems being wrong etc, keep pestering and you'll get a "credit adjustment" like some of us already have. Doesn't look like they'll be amending the "cash back" figure unfortuently
I have chased the cashback a couple of times..... I thought the offer was 3% cashback, not 3 x normal cashback..... i.e. regardless of spend it was 3% for the first three months......
I cant actually find any paperwork referring to the bonus cashback though.... nightmare.....Titch0 -
I seem to have been getting only 1% cashback too.. the guy on the helpline (I dont need to tell MSE folk to use saynoto0870.com do i surely?) told me that this problem has been going on for 3 months, for a select "batch" of customers (err, thats everyone then I guess), but on the next statement (October 2007 statement) the proper cashback should show. Time will tell. I'm getting really cheesed off with these big companies and their lack or concern or action when you finally manage to get a human being to pick up.I hear the cry of the silence around me.0

I have had my card for about 18months. Never had 1 problem with it. When my cashback reaches above £15 i call up and get it credited to my account - takes 2-3 working days so none of this 28 day wait to see if any cheque will arive. I also got a notification of the annual fee, but in the same envolope was a statement saying i would forfeit this for this year and it would be reviews in 2008. My understanding is, that annuual fee is charged in advance for the year, and they must give notice, so you would never get charged a %age of it.But as my 3% has now expired im onto amex, whose customer service is impeccable...shame no-where apart from the big stores accept the card0

I wonder if it's only a selected number of customers getting the annual fee introduced. Oh well, I suppose time will tell - my statement is due next week - but I suppose following the week-long strike ahead by Royal Snail, I'll have to sit, smile and wait .0 -
Yes same problem for me. Wrong amount of cashback.
Goldfishare even worse, incorrect items charged to my account.
So...I have charged them by refusing to pay my account in full and I am also keeping back a sum to compensate me for my time and trouble, I have ALWAYS cleared my account every month before.
This has been going on for almost 18 months and they still do nothing. :mad:Rob0 -
I have had an MS card since 2005 and always used to find them very efficient.
Seems to me the change has come since Goldfish are involved.I've tried ringing them to get cashback payout but have not succeeded in getting through once since the changeover.
Am thinking of changing to Capital 1 especially since GE Money is finishing now.:mad:0 -
I just checked my online statement for the end of September and it looks like it's been corrected. I am £4 short of the magic £30 which would mean I can take that out there and then. I suppose it's worth waiting for it to get to £30 before cancelling, but it all depends if I get an annual fee put on the card. That would put another spanner in the works.0

I did not get a statement from Morgan Stanley for end September. (Postal strike?) I called them and they said it was because I had a zero balance, not having spent anything for 2 months. However they said that the IT system fix for the unpaid 3% was applied at the end of September, so my end October statement should show it. I today spent a small amount on this credit card, rather than another, just to make certain I see the results.0
