  • I got 85%
The main mistake that I made was incorrect time formats, I missed a couple of commers and one question I mis-interpreted.

I am just so upset that they can do this after only 2 months - there is soo much to learn and I was still taking it all in.

I just don't know where to go from here as it really was a lifesaver :)

Hi, I see this thread is old but hopefully someone can still help me.

I'm currently a ChaCha Guide but they recently had a paycut. I can't afford to work there anymore. I heard about AQA and am very interested in applying. I have sent 3 email requests in the past week and a half, asking for more information and the test. I still haven't heard a word...not even an automated response. I did include my country code in the emails. (I'm a US resident.)

For the people who already work for AQA...is there any way you can help me get in touch with someone who can send me the test (and the other info they say they'll give at the same time as sending the test)? Maybe someone can tell their supervisor of my situation, and they'd send me the necessary information? (I'm not sure, but I think I heard that AQA workers are assigned supervisors.)

I have experience in this field and have a 100% Quality Score with ChaCha. I am a good worker & believe I'd be an asset to AQA. The problem is just getting started. :) I really hope someone can help me. I'm very frustrated that I haven't heard a word from AQA in all this time.

    Thanks!

There aren't any UK vacancies at the moment.

Keep checking here every couple of days or so until they are recruiting again.

I'm in the US, and they are currently hiring in my country.

Does anybody have any pointers for how to ace the test?

I bought a book on the English language, hopefully that will help some. Apparently Americans don't truly speak English, eh? :)
  • Hi, I sent in several requests for an application in late May. I FINALLY got an application pack from Rowina a few days ago, in late June. I just sent it in yesterday.

I am pretty sure that my answers are correct. I know I stayed within the character limits & used proper grammar & spelling. I think I did everything I was supposed to do.

I'm scared though because I have read just about this whole thread, & therefore know that you can give correct answers & still be rejected. It really has me worried. I'm really counting on being accepted. I would make more with AQA than I do with ChaCha or kgb_ so it would be absolutely wonderful to be accepted.

I don't have a degree or employer references (I've only been self-employed). I did give character references though. Right now I'm hoping that my correct answers & my previous experience with similar companies will lead to my acceptance. In those "mini-essay" questions about why I'd be good for the company, I highlighted my experience with other mobile answering services...it should be obvious that I know how to do this job since I've performed well for other companies! I listed Expertise awards I received from ChaCha & mentioned my high quality score. I also mentioned my philosophy of providing a positive customer experience every time.

Wish me luck! I know that I have an agonizing wait ahead of me before I know whether I've gotten in or not. I really hope that I do! ChaCha Guides are only making about $3/hour right now...we make approximately .11 per question. With the pound-dollar exchange rate, I'd make about .48 per question with AQA which seems fair. I can answer about 28 questions an hour. I might not be able to answer as many per hour for AQA since they're British-centric & it'll take me a while to become familiar with British activities, etc.

Well once again, please wish me luck!
  • Are they really going to call references? Does anybody know if the references they listed were actually contacted?

One of my references is VERY hard to get in touch with, but I pretty much had no choice but to list him lol.

    Hi angel,

I'm in almost the same position as you, i got the application pack through on wednesday and sent it back straight away, and now i'm checking my inbox every 5 minutes to see if i have anything! its agonizing! I'd love to get this job as im a student and it'd be easy to take to uni with me!

    Best of luck
  • Hi Monsieur! It's nice to actually have someone reply to me on here...maybe we can get this thread going again!

This job would be an absolute godsend for my family. I'm currently working two jobs just like AQA, except I can only make $3 to $3.30/hour. That is obviously...horrible. If I'm accepted by AQA it means more money & more time with my 2 kids. My daughter has been very upset at how much I have to work.

Did you figure out which test you got? I didn't see a number on mine. But one of my questions was how many paper planes laid end to end would stretch from London to Pluto. :) LOL! I'm used to questions like that from my previous jobs in the industry!

From previous posts, we could have several weeks to wait before we're accepted or denied. I hope we both get in!
