OH MY GOSH! I woke up this morning & saw an email from Rowina in my inbox that had been sent at 4:05 pm EST (I'm being so specific lol). I thought it would be her telling me that my test had never even been received & I needed to resend it. I opened it & was so surprised to see that it was actually an ACCEPTANCE letter! Woohooooooooooo! I actually got in! I've got to sign the contract & then do the induction & 30 questions...hopefully that will all proceed smoothly! I haven't even looked at the contract yet...I was just too excited & wanted to share the news right away. :)

I can't believe I actually got in on my first try! If I pass their training, then this will make such a huge difference for my family.

I'm just so excited that I don't know what to do with myself!

Good luck to White & everyone else waiting to know if they've been accepted! =)

Thanks! I hope I do, too! LOL! Hopefully I can pay all my utilities & groceries with this money every month!

I haven't even officially started yet, but I'm so thankful for this opportunity. =)

It's currently midnight in London...maybe I'll have something from Rowina by the time I wake up here in the US tomorrow though! lol

I was actually right, that's exactly what happened. =) Woohoo. Gosh can you tell how excited I am over getting accepted on my first try?! LOL!
  • Congrats, Angel! I replied to you at ChaCha, too, but in case you check this first, I want you to know that I am very excited for you!!
  • Hi, I just realised that induction involves researching & answering a question. I didn't think I'd have to do a question again until the "30 questions" part.

I'm really nervous about this because I assume that the SR gives you a question & you're not allowed to skip. I'm afraid of getting a really tricky or complicated one right off the bat.

Can anyone tell me if they give you a really tricky question after induction? Do you get to choose the question? I'm so nervous now lol.
  • BTW, if any current AQA workers want to become friends or something, then PM me & we can exchange emails & yahoo messenger IDs. I'd love to talk to "colleagues" lol. It would be great to get to know other AQA workers. =)
  • The SR will invent a question for you, usually tailored to your interests. It will allow you to be a bit creative, but will not necessarily need a lot of research. Don't worry about how long it takes (nor when you're doing the initial 30 questions), just make sure they sound like "AQA answers" and have perfect SPG. SPG (just P, really!) is the hardest part. In my last review (I've been doing it for over 2 years) I was down to 84% for SPG, although that only amounted to 3 misplaced or forgotten commas and an accidentally inserted space where I didn't need one! It's not impossible though, I've had 100% in the past :-) just take care

    Good luck!

  • I've been accepted, too!!! Now just through the induction....

White, have you begun looking through the rules yet. There are so many! But it's great that AQA focuses on quality. It's going to take me forever to memorise everything though!
