further to my previous email. After nearly 3 weeks I have emailed them again asking to apply. I got the automated response again. Does anyone know if they are very busy at the moment with regards to recruiting?
    thanks

If you have replied, then I guess you would get the initial automated response. Forgive me, but I am not up to speed on your specific situation.

If there advertised vacancies and you have applied, you should get the second email offering the test. If not, it might be worth emailing the main lady directly.

This may well not be the best place to post this but just whilst i'm thinking of it could any exsisting FR's tell me how they deal with "who is so and so" questions? I often see responses that say "so and so from so and so is 1 of only 2 people in the country with this name" - where do you go to to find these answers coz those sort of questions are really starting to annoy me!! Thanks x

There is info under the files section of the ibresearchers group on how to deal with ego texts. Dont forget you can ask advice from any senior researcher who is online, not just your own.

Hey, lovelyloulou. Did your SR suggest some documents to look at from the group? There's a document there that gives a selection of good links that will help. There is also a post on there that provides some good tips.

There is also a section in the help section that you should have read already, so might be worth checking it out again.

They can be frustrating at times, especially when it is an obscure name, but they can also be quite fun.

    :) James
  • I sent them an email quoting the reference and I didnt even get a response! How rude !

Get used to it, lots of companies dont! Although in fairness, someone above mentioned they are very busy with recruitment at the moment, your turn may still come.

Just wanted to point out that the AQA rules forbid discussing the work, group etc on outside boards so might be best to keep this sort of discussion to the official group :) It's a fact that if you don't like rules you won't like AQA :D

Modified my post, didn't think it was a problem given that the group has already been mentioned by name a few times on this thread. Still, I hope lovelyloulou gets to the info she needs, as I simply want to help.

    James
  • James, I'm sorry, my post wasn't aimed at you specifically (although I quoted your post - I probably shouldn't have - your advice to lovelyloulou was spot-on), I just was pointing out that that rule exists as many don't seem to know it's there and it would be a shame for anyone to get on the wrong side of the rules as soon as (or even before!) they've started.
    enjoy your AQAing :)

  • I thought there might be an AQA thread or two on here. :D

I've been working for them for about a week now and I'm really enjoying it. For the record, I heard back very quickly and was earning money within a week of sending the first enquiry. Maybe they're processing applications faster now they know the busy Christmas and New Year period is approaching.

I've earnt about £70 (pre-tax) in the past week. Not too shabby considering it's a second job and I'm doing it in the evenings and at weekends!
