hi destiny_star2006,
you need the excel program (or the free open office version) as the test is set in that format and it calculates the number of characters you use to answer the questions (max is 153 - including spaces).
hope that helps and good luck with your test (i cannot comment on test 8 as that is not the one i or my husband had).0 -
Well I have just heard back and I have not been accepted, it is a pity they do not let you know where you went wrong I think. Oh well onwards and upwards.

Hi everyone.
Im currently filling out the application form and was wondering about the referees I need to provide. I left me previous employers 2 and half years ago and dont have any contact numbers for anyone there (I worked in a bank and they have changed all the direct numbers to go through call centre). Can I put a friends details in?
Many thanks for any help0 -
what do you put as your source info? opinion/views, website name, address etc.
Also how do you answer a direction question. I know use RAC or AA but you can't put that much detail can you?0 -
Just about to sit the test now. Doubting I will get through as I failed the texperts one.2014 = New Year, New Me0

Don't doubt yourself, mennie; just focus on these points:
- Answer the question. This is so important. People forget to actually answer the specific question.
-Add another bit of extra information.
-Remember, the length is 153 characters, but try and aim for between 140 and 153.
-Keep it simple; simple words, simple sentences, and check your spelling! (Oh, and don't use the exclamation mark as I just did).
-Remember, on the test you have almost unlimited time (relatively speaking), so use that to your advantage.
-Relax.
Good luck!!!0 -
Hi, Anyone knows how long it takes to hear back from Aqa?
I sent my application to them on Sunday, and as I'm currently unemployed, I can't afford to wait around too much...
(Passed Texperts though, unfortunately there is a a bit of a wait for training).0 -
I failed the Texperts one too, but I just started with AQA. Well, I've yet to pass the final test questions, but hopefully it will all go well. The program's a bit complicated at first but I think it actually looks like a lot of fun. They sent me a copy of their second mini book that has lots of silly useless facts in them

My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
I am interested in applying for AQA. Can I ask anyone on here what they think of working for them? How many hours do they spend per day researching?
I would also like to know what search engines etc they use for locating the answers? Also, is the test difficult?
Thanks so much0
